“My husband and I chose to have our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at The Beamish House in August 2023. We always enjoy having dinner here and wanted to share it with our family and friends. It was a big group and the atmosphere and service was excellent. Sydney was our server and she took very good care of us and was very attentive. The food was also amazing, it came out hot and all at once, which was very impressive for a large group. We all had a wonderful time and couldn't recommend The Beamish House more! Thank you all!!“

Yes, of course it's a bit of a dive and you eat the pickled eggs behind the counter at your own risk - but it's charming somehow and you're guaranteed to bump into somebody you know if you grew up in Port Hope.“
“We had a great time on Friday night. The food was good, the servers were very attentive, and the ambience was great. The only disappointing thing were the desserts. They seemed overly sweet - but I do realize that's a personal preference for the most part. Great place to have dinner!“
“Autumn is the best bartender i have ever had, a very kind person to interact with! And very down to earth! She is very fast with service and a very proper bartender! I highly reccomend visiting turtle johns and having her as your bartender/server! And the food is very good too!“
“A sports bar with good prices, friendly staff, and standard pub grub, although I loved their lattice fries! (Less cultured places call them waffle fries.)A decent selection of beers, not just the usual big brewery mix.The only slight negative was that the cushion on my bench seat was sagging, so I felt a bit like a toddler at the dinner table!“
“For a person who has difficulty hearing in noisy environments, The Mill can be challenging when it is busy. All exposed hard surfaces really reflect the noise. It is charming, however. I was disappointed that the Prime Rib dinner was moved to Friday, instead of the Saturday as we were there specifically for that dinner. It seems to me that Prime Rib isn't really a Friday type of dinner... I ended up having the Lamb Shank which, while tasty, was quite fatty and when the small amount of meat was taken from the huge bone, it was far less than the 16oz advertized on the menu. Too high a price for such a small meal... It appeared as though they were short of staff, but the servers who were on duty did a marvelous job and were really pleasant and efficient.“
“July 21, Hubby & I had the steak dinners. We both ordered medium rare...well, The steaks were done to perfection!!! Hats off to the cook !!! Huge portion of sides also. Our waitress was friendly, & attentive. Highly recommend Arthur's!! Oh & I must say... 100% better than The Keg!!!!!!!! 5 stars all the way“
“We love Coburg, but we had never visited the Claymore before. We were not disappointed! The food was great, the staff were friendly and happy, and the environment was clean and welcoming. “Great pub spot in Coburg for some drinks, food, and just watching the game. Quite a few tables and seats at the bar to sit back and relax. The menu is fairly simple but enough choices to please everyone. I chose the fish tacos (2) - one was with green onion/kimchi blend, the second was with roasted corn. Both were pretty decent. The owner (I assume) was a lovely man who spent some time talking to us. He makes his own spices for the wings (there is one wing so hot it has never been fully eaten by anyone without waiving the proverbial white flag lol). After a day at the beach, this place (about a 2min drive) hits the spot!“

“I had a vegetarian Falafel bowl. It was fantastic even the bowl was edible! A friend of mine had the burger and said it was delicious. The service was very good. My only disappointment was a fly flew into my drink after I had one sip. I got the fly out but I didn't want to touch the drink after. It was just a beer and I was hoping that they would replace it. Other than that I would go back in a minute“
