If you're looking for really good, simple, delicious, and inexpensive Chinese noodle dishes, you've got to try Jim Chai Kee Wonton Noodle, with two locations in the GTA. On this occasion, we went to their Richmond Hill location, at West Beaver Creek and Highway 7 E. They offer noodles, noodles with soup, and a small selection of accompaniments, such as wontons, fish balls, beef, and vegetables. Period. That's it. Simple, delicious, filling, and very inexpensive at only CDN$12/bowl. There is no table service. You order and pickup at the counter, and then clear your table when you're finished - the same as every fast food restaurant. The decor is also simple and very sparse, with large poster-sized menus on the walls. My friends and I ordered the Beef and Fishball Lo Mein (includes a bowl of soup), Wonton and Fishball Noodle Soup, Wonton Noodle Soup, and Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce. Everything tasted great, with generous portions. I liked the texture of the noodles. The food earns a solid rating of 4/5, while the ambiance and decor scores only 3/5. Nonetheless, it's worth a visit. Check them out!

Worse restaurant ever. I'm on the toilet writing this review. My stomach hurts like nothing I have ever experienced.

Wonton soup no taste at all just boiling water. I can't believe their business still going on over twenty years!

Wow.. who did they pay to write such false reviews. They’re far from what anyone says here. I live in Hong Kong and came here to visit, I went to this restaurant because my dad wanted to eat wonton. The wonton itself was salty with msg, shrimp was mushy, made puffy with pork and some kind of paste. Soup was msg. For the price definitely not worth it.

Just the thought of Jim Chai Kee's wontons makes my mouth water. It is THE BEST wontons you will ever have. Big golf ball size wontons filled with lots and lots shrimps. The service is quick, its serve your own tea or hot water and their hot chilli oil is the best! The menu is simple and all they do is wontons, fish balls and beef over egg noodles, rice noodles or rice vermicelli, with soup or lo-mein. This place is a very popular lunch spot and parking is very limited. I have been coming here since it opened and it's been now 19 yrs...still going strong and still delicious.

My wife and i just recently discovered Jim Chai Kee. We love noodle soup and this is by far the best we have found so far. The fish balls are out of this world and the broth has a lot of flavour. I am bothered by msg, but it seems as if Jim Chai Kee does not use it. I have had no issues. Don't come for the ambiance, but if you want a quick, tasty and cheap bowl of noodle soup, this is the place. It is really busy around 12:00 and parking can be a problem, so I recommend coming either before or after 1:00.

Best Chinese noodles in GTA and super cheap!

New menus on the wall that explain what's available. I like the fish balls and wonton. You can get meat served without noodles.

Hand pulled noodles made daily. I love the dry ones with everything. Order extra greens they are good to dump in any dish. They make their own roasted Chili hot sauce.
