“The food is really good, enjoyed the overall experience. The only thing I did not like was the fish as it tasted a bit bland. But the owner is always super welcoming. My family have been coming here for over 10+ years and they never disappoint!!“
“The experience I had that this restaurant was amazing. The girl who served was wearing a hijab and she was so sweet and polite I actually loved her customer service also she was very quick to bring my order. I ordered kabob and palaw and it was so delicious I was there on Sunday and I am already planning my next visit with my family. I will definitely be telling my friends about it.“
“I tried this restaurant for the first time today and I was very satisfied and pleased with my choice. After 35 years, I ate kebab which taste and quality reminded me of kebob in (Tehran) Iran. The intimacy of this restaurant has doubled, I wish more success for the owner and wish him more success in future . I do 100% recommend this place for who wants to try the best beef kebob and best vegetable meat stew (ghormeh sabzi) and lamb shank with basmatis rice …Vegetarian options: Their house salad was so fresh cut and their dressing was the bestKid-friendliness: Everyone who was in the restaurant are so friendly and the did their best to serve us“
“I will preface this review by saying I’m not all that familiar with Persian food aside from shawarma Joints. We felt like something different and my wife had a place picked out, but I insisted it had to be one of those 2 for 1 deals you can find on uber eats. after searching and reading reviews we settled on trying Herby. Danforth restaurants excel in offering places that are not big commercial joints which we wAnted. We ordered the loobia polo and koobideh both offering 2 servings for the price of 1. I had additionally made a thai chicken curry at home to pair with the rice in the koobideh. All 4 portions were large and combined offered more than enough to cover us for 2 dinners. The Loobia Polo was incredible. Simple yet so flavourful, I told my wife that surely this must be a Persian at home staple dish. So good. My 2 year old loved it too. The Koobideh was also simple but good — not as good as the Loobia polo though! We were able to use the ample rice in the Koobideh with the chicken curry I had prepared. The skewer of meat was good as well. While the dishes we tried were simple, they were really wholesome. I will definitely order from here again and maybe try other dishes. It’s hard to beat that 2 for 1 deal!!!! Anyways this place is a winner, highly recommend!“
“Rose was incredible, she was really helpful and made me a special delicious chicken sandwich around midnight with extra fries. They were awesome and she was very kind, hospitable and fun to talk to. She is a great person. I appreciate her and the food was amazing as well!! :)“
“Great place to get some fresh hand-made wraps and breads! Staff are friendly, the store is clean! They have lunch, and cooked as the traditional way! You can also got fresh lamb, lamb heart and liver some time! Ask them the BBQ advice if you have patio party! Hahaha“
“The food was so delicious, juicy, fatty, and so rich it melts in your mouth like butter. All the food was amazing, especially make sure you get the sour beef or chicken because it's the best food in all of Toronto. Service is excellent, and the manager and all the staff are amiable and outgoing.“
“Went to this place for the second time. I was disappointed the first time, trying the traditional Persian stews. I took some colleagues there and was hoping to impress them with Persian food.I just went there and decided to stick with the basic stuff - kebab. The kebabs were decent. We all got the vaziri, both beef and the chicken breast were great. I’d go back for the kebab again.I also got their khash ke bademjoon (eggplant dip). It wasn’t bad but I’ve had better ones.“
“I have gotten food from this restaurant multiple times. All of their kabobs come with flavorful seasonings and a hearty serving of rice. Even some saffron rice is included! The roast vegetables that are served with the kabobs are also pretty tasty. In my opinion, you get quite a lot of food for the price. The interior of the restaurant is rather small and really only serves to order and pickup food, but there are tables set up outside where you can dine on the patio in the usually lively harbourfront neighborhood. This restaurant serves as an interesting ethnic food option that offers reasonable value for your money.“
“We ordered a strawberry shortcake for our dinner party. We didn’t know what size but told Yalda and all was handled. The cake was just the perfect amount not to mention so delicious. We love ordering from this bakery. Give it a try. You WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED.“
