When we got there, no servers were available to serve. Seems like they are restocking something. The cashier asked the gentleman who was cleaning the area to serve us. His right hand had a disposable glove which he used for cleaning. Didnt bother to wash his hands in the first place. When asked kindly, if he can take off his dirty glove, he refused to serve us and continue to do what he was doing as before. Filipino take out and dine in food experience, "turo-turo" aka cafeteria style. The place is clean, well lit and the food, fresh. Though we ordered a combination plate with two items plus rice, you can also preorder trays of food; they also cater. Authentic Filipino food. Chicken inasal is by far the best tasting in Toronto. Halo-halo is unpretentious (no mini umbrellas and all) but definitely the best. Staff are friendly and can’t fault them for sometimes being unable to attend to you right away during weekend and after working hours. Visit during lean hours and you will get Royal treatment. My non-Filipino co-worker love their mami, lumpia shanghai and halo-halo.
