“It’s About Thyme is fantastic. Sam is a master . Every time I order from him , it’s always the yummiest thing that I’ve eaten since the last time I ordered from him . I always order the beef Shawarma dinner and believe me it’s the best beef Shawarma anywhere in the city . The prices are excellent. The food is absolutely delicious. Way to go Sam ! I experienced the Black and Blue pasta. Simply delectable. Last night we returned for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. This time I could not resist the Steak Gorgonzola. So incredibly decadent, so delicious. My wife had the Penne Alfredo with Lobster and Crab. Also a beautifully presented dish that was delicious. The Caesar salad is definitely worth the upgrade too. Cozy and warm dining experience with a great staff. We are looking forward to coming back soon. There’s just too many delicious options on that menu. See you soon!”

But I saw this place from an influencer who did a series of videos on this place trying to become a "Regular" at the restaurant. Julia and TJ are the owners and the chefs and the servers in the small rustic beautiful place. And they are genuinely lovely, beautiful people with great auras all around. They went thru a tough time during and after covid. People like these should never have rough times. So go support them and get the Cutlet on a Kaiser with the Po-Do grape drink and show them some love!! <3”

Service started out as a 2/10 from 3 servers, when we were seated I asked for a drink menu and was told they didn’t have one (when we were there 2 weeks ago and our server provided us with one). My fiancé spotted our server from 2 weeks ago (Andy) and went over and asked her for a drink menu; in which she reached above her head and gave him one. The server (our original server that started with us tonight) that told me they didn’t have a drink menu never looked in our direction for the rest of the night. She continued to deal with tables around us, but ignored us, and continued to talk with the other servers working & spent 10 minutes standing at a table talking to what we presumed to be friends. Not only was Andy serving the patio, she was also taking care of us and multiple other tables inside. She got our food order, drink orders etc. I went as far as to ask her if they split tips or keep them, and disappointingly she said they split them. We would have tipped Andy heavily if she was alone/getting the tip herself, but was modest in tipping because the 3 other servers would have got it as well. Andy is attentive, friendly, and a 10/10. She really cares about the service you receive!”

“Big Tuna Sushi We were excited to return to Big Tuna on Ontario Street for my niece’s 16th birthday, as she chose it herself and we had a great experience last year. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to our expectations. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived so we waited 25 minutes for drinks and appetizers. The service felt disorganized and some food arrived cold or very late. My dessert " crème brûlée and the wontons ordered" were served cold, which was disappointing. One server (shorter woman with glasses, approximately 40–50 years old) was not very friendly during our visit between 6:30–8:30 p.m. on January 17th. She seemed annoyed the whole evening. My sister was told ahead of time to bring cash for a 10–20% discount, but this was not honoured as I was sitting with them at the table. We were told that because I arrived with my boyfriend and we paid separately, my niece and her mother’s bill no longer qualified for the cash discount — despite it being a family birthday reservation and we came to join in. Most disappointing was that my niece did not receive the birthday cheesecake or any recognition, even though we saw another table celebrating and the servers singing happy birthday. We truly wanted this to be a special night for her, especially being her 16th birthday. I hope the restaurant can address these issues so future celebrations reflect the positive experiences we’ve had in the past.”

“This place doesn't get credit for how busy it is or that it's a fast food place. People rate harshly for miner issues. Obviously They have never worked in this environment. I get it, things get messed up, happens to every business. What sets this one apart is that they actually go out of their way to fix it! They forgot cheese on my breadsticks and send another order. This costs them money. They answered the phone, and were kind and helpful. Even wrote sorry on the box. In the end we got our breadsticks and they also offered a credit first.
