I was running errands when I noticed a display at the mall offering a free smoothie with the purchase of a $30 gift card. Since I didn't have time for lunch that day, I decided to take advantage of the deal. I recalled that years ago, the GC purchase was much lower, and just last year, it was $25, so the value wasn't as high as before.
