Went for a late night snack and got the fried chicken and wasabi onigiri for my friend. The chicken was perfectly juicy and crispy, topped with a decadent sauce. Will return for a full meal sometime

I ate at this restaurant at dinnertime on a weekday so the restaurant was a bit empty but a lot of orders from UberEats were being packed. I liked how some of the walls were decorated with drawings of Anime characters and there was also a tv playing InuYasha. I ordered the Gyuu Curry Rice. I was satisfied with the portion since I was full after eating it. The rice was neither too hard nor too soft for me even after mixing it with the sauce. I liked how there was a good portion of the vegetable and meat. The meat was also cooked nicely. I give it 4 stars because compared to a different restaurant, and I personally like a strong curry flavour but the curry here wasn't very strong.

I’ve always seen this place at Commerce Gate, finally decided to give it a try. The chicken katsu curry was good and good portion however, the short rib and unagi don was disappointing, the unagi portion was small compared to the amount of rice they gave and the short ribs was bland. However their side dishes were very good, we got the chicken karaage and the shrimp tempura, both were tasty!

At about 1 o'clock at noon on February 25, 2024, the waitress had a really bad attitude. She put on a bad face, as if I owed her money, and if she didn't want to serve others, she could be a waitress.

Beware! They charge 15% tips for party of 5 or more (not 8 or more?). They do post the policy at door.Up to you to decide it worth it or not. For such a fast food like environment.

Pros:- Quick and friendly service- Open late and can accommodate large groups- Spacious area with a nice ambiance (decor, style, furniture)- Located pretty central in the Hwy 7/Leslie area with ample parking available in the plazaCons:- Portions are small for a $13 dish. Meat to rice ratio did not seem consistent.- Food was good but not out of this world amazing, and some of us felt a bit uneasy after- Only accepts cash or debit. Credit comes with a 3% extra fee

Donburi: Affordable, Yet Falls Short on Ambiance and Portion QualitySeeking an alternative to a fully booked restaurant, I stumbled upon Donburi with hopes of discovering a hidden gem for reasonably priced. The affordability, with most items priced under $20, initially seemed promising. I arrived at 12:30 pm, and secured a booth immediately. However, the charm quickly dissipated as my first encounter involved a worker chipping away at a freezer, displaying a lack of consideration for other diners over a prolonged 20 minutes. I ordered the chicken curry, I found the portion to be lacking – a mere four small pieces of chicken katsu accompanied by two cups of rice. While the katsu and curry sauce were satisfactory, the overall value at $16 fell short of expectations. On the positive side, the service was prompt, contributing to a relatively efficient dining experience. Donburi could be a viable option for those seeking a quick and affordable meal, especially in a time crunch. However, for those prioritizing ambiance, quality over quantity, or a spot for a date, Donburi may not be the ideal choice.

Omurice is good, but karaage is drowned in mayonnaise for some reason and doesn’t taste good either.

Came here for thanksgiving with the fam. I love that they have so many choices on the menu that everyone can enjoy. The staff was super nice. I love that you can draw something and they put it up on their walls to showcase it. It adds a lot of character in the restaurant. I enjoyed the tofu with rice.

Last minute hunger run and decided to try this place out. Food service was ok, had an older gentleman help wait us but i can not fault him as he was only helping out, he was still very fast and helpful when he tried to understand us. The food was ok. Egg omurice was a bit overcooked but still very tasty. The chicken katsu was not bad as it was a bit to sauce for me. Udon was very flat tasting. The fried oyster was very good on the other hand. The decor was very generic, but i loved the customer drawings that they posted on the walls.Parking: Plaza gets busyKid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu

A very convenient spot to visit for a decent meal, they are open pretty late too. I like the sauce on the omurice and I believe most mains come with miso soup - this portion is pretty fair but I know that some of the other bowls have a lot more rice than the ratio of meat. The quality was fine for my dish. Also, they only take debit and cash!
