By the time we stepped inside the restaurant, a delicious aroma filled the air. The server later told us it was from their lamb soup, slow-cooked for many hours. The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the appetizer was fantastic. Our waitress was attentive. I wish there were a branch of this restaurant in Chicago.

What are you doing? You can't cook the steamed buns for a while longer. The stir-fried buns look like they have been stir-fried. They are so unpalatable.

First time here and not familiar w shaanxi food specifically. Take out. Have had a lot of Cantonese, some northern Chinese Etc. Food was ok but maybe won’t go back. Had the shaanxi pickled bun with lamb and noodle/veg broth thing (not a bun like a pc of dry bread for those who didn’t know like me, but like chewy dough bread crumble pcs in the soup). It was ok. Tasty and a bit different thsn I’m used to but afterwards I don’t really need more. Had the cold noodles (its plain chewy thick long noodles w little bit cucumber n bean sprout n their tofu like thing pcd? and had chili and vinegar) it was simple and ok but nothing spectacular taste. The noodles were chewy which I liked. What irked me was the service. Just really rude that I should have just walked out as so many other places to eat beside! One word answers, not friendly, obviously I didn’t kno what I was ordering n didn’t bother to help, find, but not even answering the questions is annoying. IE. I walk in, is it noodles here (I was rushed and thought maybe typical hand pulled noodles?) asked if they had noodles she said no. Points to menu. Lots of noodles. I saw cold noodles. I ask does is it come with peanut sauce as I’ve had that before at other places. No. Ok, so what is on it. Not peanut. Yes I understand so what’s on it. Vinegar. Is it spicy? Small size. No I asked if it’s spicy or not . Hot sauce on side. Ok. Does it come w anything or just noodles. No. Then a few sec later she added cucumber. So frustrating. This was just a sample of the short exchange. Cash only.

I would like to give it 10 stars! The first bite brought me back to China, so real. It came with a good amount. The renovation is nice, and the background music is from my generation. The waitress is like my sister, and even the tea is real red tea. Now I miss home so much. ?

The taste is not so good compared to other similar places, biang biang noodle is not authentic one. I have tired many places, this is the worst, not recommend if you’re looking for a tasty one.

My friend and I went for a dinner. We had Xi'an-style cold noodles (西安风味凉皮), lamb soup with homemade pancake (水盆羊肉), and spicy fish in wok (铁锅椒香鱼). The flavors were all excellent, evoking a comforting homestyle taste. Although the restaurant's ambiance was average, our love for their dishes ensures we'll be returning!
I'm a big fan off dumplings and soupy noodles, so this hit the spot! My only criticism is that the restaurant was very empty. It was my table + another party. Otherwise, the staff members were sitting around. There was also no music playing, so you could hear a pin drop.

Authentic northern china-style restaurant. Good fast service. Prices are fair. I love the Xian cold noodles and a little spicy. It's one of my favourite dish anywhere, anytime. Lamb Skewers are nice and flavourful. The fried rice is excellent.
