Too much rice in the sushi, needs to be wrapped tighter. Give the customers more protein.

Very cozy establishment located on the bustling Queen West Street. Food was delicious and staff was very attentive (almost too attentive sometimes as there is no empty dish left stationary for more than a min!). Really enjoyed the YamYam rolls and the deep fried sweet potato sprinkled on top was ?.? Several vegetarian options from the menu (and one on the lunch special)!

While the food's taste and presentation were pretty good and I liked the vibe, I felt that the price didn't quite align with the portion sizes. I ordered the dinner teishoku, which was visually stunning, and the skewers and majority of the sushi looked great. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was mostly filling up on salads and sides, with a relatively small entree. Despite the great taste, the value for money didn't quite meet my expectations.

A good solid option for sushi on this stretch of queen st. It is a little pricey, but the quality is also a step above most sushi joints.

I came here on a Saturday night and the restaurant was empty. Maybe it was due to some ongoing protests nearby?I ordered a 7 piece alburi sushi set with 5 side dishes. (Aburi sushi teishoku). This item was quite expensive so I expected a lot more that what I got. The sushi was super tiny, probably half the size of what I am used to. The pieces were falling apart. The fish also did not seem good quality and really seemed like they put no effort into making it. The side dishes were nothing special, it was like the free banchan you might get at a Korean restaurant. (A spinach salad, a seaweed salad, a potato salad, 2 pieces of fried tofu and 1 small skewer drenched in sauce). Overall I did not think it was worth the money. We also got the vegetable tempura. It was standard tempura, not great but not bad.

Had a lovely dinner at Ara. When we first arrived, no one was in the restaurant which was concerning at first! It soon filled up and we had a wonderful meal. The service was particularly lovely- the server was helpful, patient and friendly. The sushi quality was well worth the price point. Only downside is the restaurant itself is quite dark and the seating is not the most comfortable. Would nonetheless recommend!

Delicious food catering for more than just sushi lovers. Even if you're allergic to seafood there's plenty on the menu that will satisfy. Staff are understandable and will make sure the kitchen staff know about any allergies if you inform them. The Chef's specials vary regularly, so it's easy to get a different taste every time you come. The restaurant is long and narrow, so can feel cramped at times, but overall we've had a wonderful meal and experience every time we come. My daughter is always asking to come here whenever we're in the neighbourhood.

This is a small, unassuming Sushi bar, but it easily rivals any other Sushi bar. There is a nice selection of different Sushi and Sashimi. It is all freshly made, tastes very good and is absolutely worth the money. Not only from the outside, also inside the restaurant is inconspicuous - small but nice. The service is friendly, fast and gives good advice. So everything is great here. You should definitely take a look.

By far the best japanese dinner I ever had in my life. All of the sushis and sashimis were extremely fresh and tasty, all of the appetizers were chef level, and the green tea ice cream was the cherry on top. Also, unfortunately forgot to ask for her name, but the lady who took all of our orders was wonderful! Hugs from Brazil again, and obrigado!
