The sign on Queen street proclaims that Hot Black serves the best coffee ever. Does it live up to the proclamation? It sort of does.The coffee itself is good but perhaps not the best ever. However, if you take some time to appreciate the homely atmosphere and talk to the friendly staff as you sip your coffee, you'll appreciate it even more.
As a former Starbucks barista, there aren't that many tastes of coffee that I'm not familiar with ,and I usually enjoy my coffee one sip at the time to make it last longer. However, I have to admit the taste of ginger latte at the HotBlack is an out of the world experience that is extremely pleasantly surprising.
