“Consistent quality for food, beer/wine/drinks, and atmosphere. I've been going here for years and now they have the best smash and banquet burgers in the city that no one is talking about (thank goodness)! Also has fantastic vegetarian (and vegan) options for my veg friends and they rave about the selection and quality. This spot is a staple for us pre- and post-game (some nights), too, and have celebrated a handful of family birthdays here, so very kid and family friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.“

Steam Whistle Kitchen Brewery • $
255 Bremner Blvd Bay 6, Toronto

“This brewery is a must visit for locals or tourists. The location is right in the heart of the action downtown and the atmosphere is 10/10.If you have time for a tour, it’s definitely worth learning about the brewing process, the history of the building and the founders of steam whistle. Our tour guide today, Kenny, was fantastic and really knew how to run the show. Also shout out to Victoria from the taproom who helped me book my tickets over the phone. All in all a worthwhile stop for anyone who hasn’t been!“

“We went to Bread & Butter on Sunday and had excellent schnitzel sandwiches! The food is of good quality, the service friendly and fast, and it is a cozy spot. Nothing fancy, but the prices are reasonable compared to most places these days. We have come here for many years since our son went to Hodgson school and we have always been very satisfied. B&B is an institution in the Mt. Pleasant area for a good reason!“

“Reminds me of modern beer halls in Germany. No frills seats and tables, counter service, and good beer selection. Convenient for a quick drink before jetting out of the downtown core or even better, making a pit stop before going into work.“

“We were surprised by how delicious the döner was!! Wow, some of the best in the city!Very clean location.Only issue was that the women’s washroom was out of order. But the quality and freshness of the food made up for the inconvenience of not having a washroom available. Still a 5 star overall.Wheelchair accessibility: No accessible washrooms.“
