If you are over 35 or want a relaxed dinner this is not the place. Food is really good. But seems to be a place built to cycle people through in a given time.

We went for brunch on Saturday, it was a good vibe. Recommend for the summer, great place to drink and chill with family and friends. The pastas are super nice and the staff was friendly. The location is super nice, busy street in the summers.Vegetarian options: They had few vegetarian options.

Family celebration 8 people. Table was so badly placed…had to climb over the base of large concrete pillar to get to my seat. No washrooms on upper floor or ground floor so the seniors at our table had a very rough go of climbing up the stairs only to be told the washrooms were back down two flights in the basement. The noise level was so loud conversation was impossible except for person next to you.Server was ok but didn’t have much patience and I guess doesn’t have to with an automatic 20% added to the bill and they also refused to allow separate cheques.Food…appetizers were good. The “famous” mafalde was gloopy with mushrooms that were cooked long before our plates were made. Pizza was fine. Shrimp pasta was ok. Pastas we’re served on luncheon plates and not presented professionally at all. Burger was dry, fancy bun was stale, fries were tepid on arrival.Overall food was quite average. Busy place? Absolutely but that’s certainly no excuse for poor food or service. Will we return? Unlikely.

Amazing food at affordable prices! Our waitress Megan was so bubbly and an all around joy. We waited about 30 mins for a table so make sure to make a reservation. The only reason the atmosphere doesn't get 5 stars is because it was really loud where we were sat (sky seating) but, other than that the decor and general vibe was nice!

Finally got the chance to visit this restaurant, and it was quite different from what I expected. The interior had more of a bustling dining hall vibe rather than the cozy, intimate atmosphere I had imagined. It leaned towards a rustic industrial style rather than the traditional Italian aesthetic. We tried their legendary Mafalde ai Funghi, which was overall creamy. While the Mafalde was slightly chewy, the combination of oyster mushrooms and truffle cream elevated the taste. The Diavola Pizza was great - authentic Italian pizza with generous toppings and amazing dough.Service was satisfactory. Despite the growing number of great Italian restaurants in Toronto, Gusto 101 manages to hold its ground with consistent quality and reputation. If you're seeking a taste of Italy in Toronto, can consider giving this place a try.Food (quality, creativity, consistency) - 4/5Drinks (quality, variety) - NA/5Ambience (interior design, cleanliness) - 4/5Service (courtesy, knowledge, timeliness) - 3.5/5Value (quality vs. price) - 3.5/5OVERALL - 3.75

Overall, it was about a 4.5/5 experience!Visited the place with a friend for their famous Mafalde Ai Funghi. It was comforting and creamy, just hits spot.Tip: If you are someone who likes to dine-in relaxed, ensure you book a table. They get super busy in the evenings. But if you are riding solo, you can always find a spot at the Bar!(Did some research prior to visiting and it was surprising to find out that it is part of the Gusto 54 Restaurant group. All restaurants serving excellent food and vibes.)

Food tasted great, all the flavours were on point. Only complaint is that maybe the portions were a lot smaller than expected. Pasta mains were on small dishes and the calamari looked a bit sparse.Service was great, even while busy.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. We tried both the pizza and pasta, and everything was perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great Italian meal in Toronto.
