While downtown at the Toronto sign, we wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and something with which to warm up! And after seeing several Hero Burgers, we thought we would try them out. We wanted to try the fried zucchini as well, but they were out / weren't serving it anymore, in which case, it should be taken off the menu. This place is sort of a hidden gem, as you would not know it exists underground in a food court that has 90% of the establishments shut down. I hear there is another location on Yonge Street, but this was conveniently located in the basement of my hotel so it was a shorter walk.It's an extremely small location, sort of kiosk style, but staff is friendly. The burgers don't just melt in your mouth, these are some seriously juicy and tender burgers. They're Zabiha Halal for those who have the dietary restrictions. The poutine is outta this world and definitely a home run.
