I really like this place because it's generally quiet. You won't find gourmet food here - it's more like snack bar food, but it hits the spot while having a few beers. The owner is really nice, always offering suggestions of which beer to try and engaging in conversation. It's not a busy place, which for me is a plus, though I know there are people who prefer more crowded places. It's a great local neighbourhood bar if you want to go for a drink or several after work.

I've been living just a few minutes away from Kanu Bar & Grill for over a year now, and yet I only just stopped in for a drink a few days ago. I think I was intimidated because there's not much information about the joint online.I walked in and there were a few people having drinks, so I grabbed a seat at the end of the bar. After walking by for months and seeing the sign for their own Kanu Lager, I obviously had to order that. It's a very simple, very tasty lager that's super easy to drink. I'll definitely be drinking it again.I was feeling a little peckish, too, so I asked to see a menu. Everything sounded really tasty, so I asked for a recommendation and wound up with the Calamari Rings. They're surprisingly, shockingly good. They're perfectly fried and enhanced by a really tasty (and spicy) dipping sauce.I also want to single out the ambience and the service, both of which were tremendously appealing. It's a small, dark bar, which I love, and my server was helpful without being intrusive.I really don't know why it took me so long to check out Kanu. It's a really cool little place and I'm looking forward to stopping by on a regular basis in the future.

A cozy little bar close to the Kipling station, Kanu bar and grill is a good place in Etobicoke to stop by for a drink or bar food without breaking the bank. Lots of options to select from drink-wise including local brews and quite an extensive cocktail menu.The food is also reasonably priced with all the bar favorites on offer. The stuffed jalapeños, onion rings were fantastic, the service great, and they even have a pool table in the basement if you are so inclined.

If I could give 0 stars I would the service is terrible very miserable very racist very rude no manners very disrespectful ! And also charged something she shouldn’t have ! 0000000 stars I do not recommend this bar to anyone unless you r Asian or Chinese .

It’s 12:43 and the bar is closed. I could’ve gotten last call at a bar that closes at 1, but instead I get nothing nowhere because they falsely stated 2am on their google maps page.

I always come here for a quick dinner I live around the neighborhood, I love the food here, the sweet chili salmon and Mac and cheese are really good its my favorite meal. the servers are super attentive and give really great service.
