This is a wonderful community bar. Sylvia, the owner, loves what she does. You can tell she’s not in it for the money, she’s in it for the connections. She is genuine, kind and makes great drinks!Want recommendations to other Toronto restaurants? Follow my instagram :) @thyme.4.food

I really like this place because it's generally quiet. You won't find gourmet food here - it's more like snack bar food, but it hits the spot while having a few beers. The owner is really nice, always offering suggestions of which beer to try and engaging in conversation. It's not a busy place, which for me is a plus, though I know there are people who prefer more crowded places. It's a great local neighbourhood bar if you want to go for a drink or several after work.

I've been living just a few minutes away from Kanu Bar & Grill for over a year now, and yet I only just stopped in for a drink a few days ago. I think I was intimidated because there's not much information about the joint online.I walked in and there were a few people having drinks, so I grabbed a seat at the end of the bar.
