Highly recommend! Attentive service, delicious and high quality fresh tasting fish all around. We tried the oshi taster platter, the sashimi rice bowl as well as a specialty roll. Highly recommend the oshi! Thank you for a delicious sushi delight ✨

Omakase is always a good choice. Can never go wrong since you can try so many different sushi!Do remember to order the tuna tartare too!

Ordered delivery from this place that has been on my list forever and it definitely lived up to the wait. First off, great packaging of their food. So I can't imagine how good indoor dining is. It was an incredible surprise! It's all about the details right? Hands down! The gyoza tuna taco was my favourite the crunch completely worked in favour for the tuna. Loved!! The oshi sushi was also on point! I tried each of their offerings and my tastebuds were very happy with salmon, shrimp and mackerel sushi. Highly recommend the quality and care of their products! Definitely, I am ordering from here again!

Decided to come here after spending 30 minutes trying to find parking for Tora at Yorkdale. On Boxing Day. We just wanted good Sushi and thanks to Google we discovered this place. Parking was easy. Plenty of seating available (late for lunch). Never had Aburi sushi before. Have had seared sushi but this was different. Good different. We ordered the Aburi sampler set and the Oshi Set. Along with a Hokkaido roll and an avocado roll + tuna taco for the kids. Food was great. With the Aburi sushi's (and the Hokkaido roll), there really isn't any need to introduce any more seasonings. The searing does the work. And the Hokkaido roll was one of those rolls with all the different sauces mixed. Not a complaint. We like it this way. Food was good. Service was decent. Not a bad end to the day. Glad we ended up here.

Friendly staff, affordable menu and delicious sushi. The interior is also very sleek and modern. I would definitely come back :)

I came here when the restaurant was named 'Aburi Room', and I remember being thoroughly impressed with their sushi. I'm so glad that 4 years later, the quality is still being upheld. We came around 3PM, so we didn't order too much as it was between meal times. 1) Unagi & udon lunch set - Udon is my all-time favourite type of noodle, so I knew I'd love this - The unagi don was hearty, not too heavy - The salad was a great balance, with its refreshing, acidic taste 2) Salmon oshi - Felt like an elevated classic Overall, I would still highly recommend Project Fish for Japanese food in the North York area.

First time trying this place. Their menu does not have lots of choices. The price is kinda high when compared with other places around, ordered 3 things for $75. The food was presented nicely and good.

Went here recently for dinner. Service was decent as they greeted us once we got there. We ordered a variety of plates to get a idea of each. Overall, pretty fresh and well made. We made reservations in advance and would recommend.

My favourite sushi spot, PERIOD. I crave this almost every week. Took my friend here and we devoured our food in 5 mins! This place is an underrated gem.

It's been a while since I went to Project Fish. When they first opened everything I tried was so good. I would come back every once in a while & they had a phase where their food wasn't as great. So I stopped going for some years. Recently I saw that their menu changed and expanded & I was curious. So I tried them again & had the me-so avocado roll & the sesame bomb as take out. First of all their packing of the utensils & soy sauce is so neat! Little drop bottles of soy sauce so you don't spill it everywhere unlike the tear away soy sauce packets. And the chop sticks were great too. Not the cheap kind where you have to separate the chopsticks from each other & make sure all the wood splinters are gone. I liked the sesame bomb the best. The taste & presentation is 5/5 for me. The structure, not so good. But the rolls really fall apart easily. The sushi rice seemed a tad too wet & maybe the rolls weren't tightly rolled enough to keep it all together. Me-so avocado roll was visually pretty. But the flavour was lacking for me. This roll also fell apart easily. Next time I'll try their oshi & aburi. Though it's more expensive than other places where I can get 8 pieces for the same price.

Very good quality fish Comfortable setting and chic Went there for sushi and sashimi dinner on a week night It is difficult GL find good fish and this is more than good Place is clean and tidy and tables are space apart (important for post COVID ) Probably not great for young kids though Overall thumbs up

Our group enjoyed everything we ordered. The sushimi was fresh with no fishy taste. Would definitely recommend the unagi roll. The eel just melts in your mouth.

TL:DR- Excellent quality sushi at a great price, makes the omakase experience much more accessible in both price and time commitment- Great dine-in experience with superb service and a very nice looking interior- Consistency consistency consistencyFull review:My wife and I have recently discovered Project:Fish and we've been so happy with it! In spite of the wide array of high quality sushi options available in the GTA, we found ourselves struggling to find a go-to sushi spot that struck a good balance between quality, price and consistency. We'd eaten at plenty of sushi places that maybe hit some of these, but never all three of these points. That is until we ate at Project:Fish! If you're looking for an affordable way to try out some of their excellent sushi, I'd recommend going at lunch to start. The sushi lunch set also offers an excellent value for the money offering 3 different starts in good portions (Edamame, miso soup and salad) PLUS all varieties of sushi including 5 pcs nigiri sushi, 2 pcs Oshi sushis and 2 pcs sashimi. All of that for under $20. At most high end sushi places I find myself hungry with their base lunch sets, but did not have that problem here.Enjoy your first lunch there? Then step your way up to dinner. The Omakase plate offers an excellent value for money, with 12 pieces of high quality nigiri. You effectively get the variety of an omakase set at a much more affordable price, and without having to commit 3 hours to the experience.Speaking about the food itself, every piece of fish exudes quality. Pieces are quite generous with some fun and unique garnishes that tell you that each piece is an absolute labor of love. I've been particularly happy with their sushi rice. You really get to taste each grain, with the perfect amount of moisture, texture and flavor. The actual dine in experience itself is also excellent. The staff are all very warm and friendly. The chef's themselves greet you at the door, and with the open air design, you get a great opportunity to witness their craft. You can tell that this team is passionate about what they do. The decor is a great mix of industrial minimalism that also incorporates some really comforting natural tones. And of course, there are some great accent pieces that will look great on the gram (if that's a pre-requesite for you haha).Overall, I can't say enough great things about Project:Fish. This is the first sushi spot that my wife and I have been to that offers not only good value, but also consistent quality and a great dine-in experience. Needless to say we'll be back for more!

Amazing sushi and service. Their interior is really nice and all the staff are attentive and welcoming. We got the omakase sushi plate, tuna tacos and neo roll and it was the perfect amount of food for two people :) will be back!
