The ramen at Buta-Nibo is the first of its kind I've had in Toronto. First, they are very large portions. Interestingly, it's not from a lot of broth, it's from the hefty portion of noodles and bean sprouts. There is a lot, and I enjoyed it.The ordering system is a little odd, because it takes away from the service aspect. You get sat, then you pull up the QR code on your phone, then you order, but the whole time a server is kind of guiding you through and walking away. You should just take someone's order and speed it up.The flavour of the broth was slightly mild considering you have the option of mild, medium or full flavour, and I chose full. I wouldn't put it in my top 5 ramen in Toronto (Konjiki, Isshin, Santouka, Sansotei and Raijin) but I will still return, as for $18, it's a great deal - it might just replace my frequenting of Kinton....maybe.

The ramen tastes handmade and the broth tastes made in store. Amazing food

Paid 50$ for 2 drinks and a ramen filled with beansprouts and 5% noodles. The chicken karage topping i ordered wasnt crispy or had a fried shell . Was just all kinda oily

The Original Ramen tasted amazing, and was plentiful and filling. The waiter who served us was very hospitable and friendly as well.

Great service. Great broth, maybe too many bean shoots, really good karaage
With the decline in quality over the years of a few of my favourite ramen spots in Toronto, this place is an incredible blessing.Providing the gratuity of jiro style ramen that you want, with the salty broth, piles of sloppy and fatty slow cooked pork, fried sprouts, a bunch of garlic, and tons of oil. Pretty hard not to leave this place satisfied. The noodles also might take one of the top spots for best ramen noodles in Toronto. Super big and chewy to compete with the craziness of the rest of the bowl. The whole thing sort of feels like a great balance of real heavy and sloppy jiro style ramen, and fancy, well plated ramen we see everywhere in Toronto. This bowl might be the saviour of the current Toronto ramen scene.Overall a 9.4/10.

Very good service, delicious flavor and the people who serve you are very friendly.
Mega Erlang Ramen only has a thin piece of barbecued pork. Although there are two pieces of fried chicken, I still feel that the meat is a bit missing.

Toronto has a lot of great ramen places, but I've never had a more delicious bowl of ramen than the Jiro ramen at Buta-Nibo and yes, I've ate many bowls of ramen in Japan. The broth is incredibly rich and satisfying, laden with crisp vegetables, peppery pork and a nice dollop of garlic. Their fried chicken is also fantastic - not too salty, crispy and juicy. Go during their happy hour and eat like a salaryman on payday on the Danforth!!

their ramen portion is quite large making it really filling. the black garlic ramen had lots of beansprouts on there. jer didn’t mind it since he likes beansprouts, but if you are not a huge fan of it, it may not be your vibe. jen got the buta-nibo classic shoyu ramen. she hoped there would have been more pork in there as depicted by the photo.- karaage (6/10)- spring rolls (5/10)- buta-nibo classic shoyu ramen (7/10)- black garlic ramen (7.5/10)ramen buta-nibo is definitely different from other ramen, so try it out if you are interested in jiro-style ramen. we do more food reviews on IG @jennjereats
