Best way to start your day!!!By far the best coffee I've ever had! Especially the lattes, which I have to issue drinking black (that's how good it is). Pastries are also amazing and unexpected for a small coffee shop on Harbord. I walked in right before closing and they had a few laying around and just handed it to me. This place is the OG! The most spectacular puppy watching opportunities from the bench out front or the window inside. You can tell what a neighbourhood icon this place is by the clientele and how amazing the staff is. Love it here and will be back for more cinnamon swirls.

Over 10 years have passed since my first time coming to SJCB, and happy to say it's still a neighbourhood gem after all that time. You will be very hard pressed to find a better espresso in the city of Toronto. Shots here have the perfect balance of body and acidity. This location is also super bike-friendly (the staff let me bring my bike inside for safe keeping when they noticed I didn't have my lock on me).
