“We took a Sunday drive out to Turkey Pt. from London today. Had lunch with friends at the Sandbar on the Beach. Weather was lovely, company was great and food was good, but service was shockingly poor. We were taken aback by how rude we and other people were treated. I don’t know what was going on, but the 3 staff were acting very put out, and were not coping with what they described as being very busy (place was full, but did not appear busy?). We were first in line, waited patiently, while the staff walked past repeatedly and never even acknowledged the line. We witnessed one staff rudely react to a woman trying to ask a simple question. When finally seated, it was unorganized chaos and they seated the group behind us before sorting us out. When there were issues with securing 4 chairs, the staff had the audacity to tell us, they would make us wait again. Next despite managing our own responses and remaining polite, the staff serving our table could barely contain her contempt. If we had known of a place near by we would have spared them our money and just left. That will be the last Sunday 1.5 hour drive to the Sandbar. Customers are not always right, but these staff were unnecessarily rude and aggressive and not managing the stress they perceived. Given we ourselves not rude customers, I can only assume we were unluckily subjected to the staff’s reaction to something else going on. I will take the opportunity next week to call and speak directly with the owner.”

“Just had our first pizzas from here and they won’t be our last!! All 3 were delicious! Dill pickle, the Barbq chicken bacon ranch and the gourmet Caesar were AMAZING! Can’t wait to return!!”

“This morning I stopped in after my workout for a coffee. While eyes up all the delicious looking deserts. I remembered i’m an adult and can have desert for breakfast. I grabbed 1 of each flavour of cheesecake to try. OMG it was so good. The caramel cheese cake is my favourite. But now I need to find out what else I have been missing out on and try all their other deserts. I also really liked the coffee. Looks like Salinas is my new post workout stop. Trying everything else they offer on the menu is my next goal.”

“Great service over the phone and on pick-up! They do take-out only. The beef pho was very well packed, with soup and noodles in separate container. Be careful, the soup was very hot even after 20 min - I burnt my tongue trying to drink it! The beef pho came with beef slices, beef tendon?, and large beef balls, all very tasty.However, the food was on the sweeter side, with a strong herbal flavour (maybe anise or cinnamon but I could be wrong) which was not my preference :( also would be more awesome if they can add some lemongrass to the noodles!Overall great experience!”

“Food was good and reasonable prices. Service was terrible with attitude. We were seated and no waitress for 10-15 mins. Their phone number was posted on the window….so I proceeded to order over the phone. While doing so, a waitress appeared..said nobody told her she had a table to serve. She was not friendly at all. Probably won’t return there…The Beachhouse for me from now on. We won’t try any new restaurants in dover any more.”

“Once again ordered the Tapas box, this time to share with company. It did not disappoint!! We were able to sit, pick away at the fantastic variety of goodies, sip away at some very good wine and enjoy an evening of great conversation. Would HIGHLY recommend indulging yourself!”

“We had heard good things and we were impressed with the selection of Gluten free items but we were treated rudely by the purple haired lady at the counter. She was very abrupt and unhelpful. She seemed to not want us there! The cookies we ended up buying were very tasty, but hard as rocks. “Today I was in Simcoe for a stress test and I had time to go for a quick bite between tests. My daughter who was at home in Brantford Googled your Cafe and sent me the info. So I walked over and ordered a ham and havarti sandwich... let me tell you..... omg, it was absolutely the best sandwich I have had in a while . It was so tasty and fresh and loaded with mouth watering goodness. I'm now back in Brantford and craving another and unfortunately for me I do not drive, but next time I'm in Simcoe I am making a stop at your little nook . Thank you!!! .... p.s please open a Cafe out here in Brantford we need a Cafe like yours here!!”

“Delicious coffee, we ordered an Ice Rocher Latte and the taste was delicious without being excessively sweet. The black Forest cake was nice and moist, and also not crazy sweet, just enough! Will come again!”

“Excellent bacon peanut butter burger. Was very thick 8oz burger homemade. My new favourite burger. Will have to try other burger options. They also have fantastic nachos supreme. My partner loves their fish & chips. We have been there maybe 6 times. Always very happy with our choices. We will definitely continue to dine there”

“I recently visited the Ivory Fern and had an amazing experience. The restaurant felt extremely welcoming as soon as you walked in, The employee was extremely helpful and very friendly . Not to mention, the food was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back for another visit.”
