Good sushi, really big rolls and pretty quick prep and prices are okay. Just wish they had better roll deals you can't mix and match unless you want to buy a whole roll of each. Definitely recommend the deep fried roll!

No chopsticks...Wasabi - looks like they use dye to colour it did not feel comfortable eating itSalmon - grocery store level at best (slight pond aftertaste)Rice - gooey (there’s no way they eat their own sushi often or they would change it)I frequent other sushi spots once a week and this is by far an outlier for bad value. The price point DOES NOT reflect the quality in any sense. I can’t see someone ordering from here more than once. My suggestion: Please try your competitors rolls alongside yours and reprice or increase the quality.

What a great addition to sushi restaurants here in Waterloo. The food is wonderful. We ordered the GTA combo and a seaweed salad and it was more than enough for two. We look forward to our next order.

Reading these reviews makes me wonder if I went to the wrong place. I ordered 2 yam rolls and the rice was just awful. There was no flavor and it was very gluey and sticky, not at all like proper sushi rice should be. There was also way more rice than yam.vi believe the sushi was made by a cool, not a proper sushi chef who has been training many years. I was also disappointed that there was mayo on the rolls (I am allergic to egg) and that this was not mentioned in the menu. The place itself was pretty dirty, and the poor quality sushi was surprisingly pricey. I could not finish my order and I will not be returning

Called in to place an order over the phone and the customer service was excellent and the food was even better! We ordered various sushi: tuna, salmon, unagi, crabmeat and the Matsu Sushi combo. This was hands down the best sushi we've had in a long time and will be our new go-to place!

We ordered Genki for our New Years Eve dinner and it was pretty good. I placed the order through Door Dash and it was one of the only sushi restaurants open at the time. Because of this, it altogether took about an hour and 15 min for the order. This was a little unfortunate because we were so hungry but considering how many orders they were probably managing I understood. We ordered: - a seaweed salad - very standard - a kimchi roll - my favourite of everything we got - a veggie and yam tempura roll - it was really nice but I didn't feel like it was worth the extra $3 vs just yam - a California roll - it was good, pretty standard - a spicy crab roll - we didn't like this one as much Overall, it was about $40 pre fees, taxes, and tip. Other than the long time to prepare which is understandable given how busy it was on NYE, the only thing i found disappointing was the very small portions of wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger. We had to supplement with our own at home. If they have an AYCE option I'd love to come dine-in once the lockdown has lifted and it is safe to do so.
We found this new place yesterday and decided to give it an opportunity. The owner was super nice and the food was delicious and very fresh. We ordered a Big Boss special roll combination and was enough for four people. We'll definitely come back.

I ordered the GTA sushi combo and it was delicious! The peices were larger than I expected, the fish was fresh and delicate, the sauce was ample, and the presentation beautiful. We even got a large pearl milk tea for $1?! Amazing. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

Ordered the Lunch Set A and two sets of avocado rolls. It was absolutely delicious. The salmon and tuna were fresh and the rice was really good. The bubble tea was delicious as well. Will definitely be going there again as it's so reasonably priced and the owner is so friendly
