“The day PB's Fish and Chips closed, I literally cried, it had been my go to poutine place for over 15 years. I honestly tried dozens of poutines trying to find one even remotely similar to PB's, there was nothing.Today I found out that it reopened in Whitby and had my first Cajun poutine in so long. “Was first time there nd wow was I impressed. Sarah was a great waitress with a beautiful smile and great personality that welcomed us at the door and very fast to serve us. The halibut was so fresh and perfectly cooked fries were nice and crispy and the coleslaw was crunchy and fresh. “I was out for a drive, looking for somewhere to have lunch, when I came across Halibut King Fish & Chips in Whitby, so I decided to stop in. They have a lot on their menu, including burgers, souvlaki, breakfast, and more but a sign out in the parking lot caught my attention: Haddock & Chips $10.99. That's what I had! I got a large piece of fish, nicely battered, a whole bunch of fries, and house-made tartar sauce. It looked really good, although I would have preferred my fries to be cooked just a wee bit longer. Some coleslaw on the side would also have been nice but it was already a good deal at this price. The fish was perfectly cooked, and flaky. With good food and good service, I recommend this place!“
