The service was absolutely terrible. After being there well over an hour, we left without eating. We went next door to Boston Pizza and had a wonderful meal.

Terrible dried up chicken. When I said something to the waitress she said well chicken breasts were dry. This isn’t the first time either. Not sure what’s happened as their chicken used to be lovely and moist.

The coffee and food was lukewarm and overcooked, longtime staff who used to work there have been replaced, the utensils were dirty, and the service was super slow. I have never waited an hour to be served, but did this time. Others too. Small tables were served before our group of 5 and 2 groups of 8. I have been to this Walker Rd. location in Windsor many times and would normally be served in 10-15 minutes. This restaurant was not that busy and had empty tables. Never returning here till the rude, inefficient manager is replaced. Most in my group could not eat their cold dinner and never received a requested replacement. One had no fork and when asked for one at reception was told no!! She had to repeatedly ask for her take out order. We refused to pay (never done that before) and the manager told us, in an angry voice, to “Leave”, twice!!

We routinely have gone to this Swiss Chalet for the Festive Dinner and have always enjoyed it. This year was horribly different. The single waitress seemed rushed and brought us a regular chicken dinner (dry) claiming we did not mention that we wanted the Festive dinner (not true) We asked if she could bring the dressing and cranberries from the festive dinner and someone from the kitchen brought a very tiny amount of dressing and an extremely small portion of cranberries on a saucer spilling our barbecue sauce across the table in the process.. We asked for a Caesar salad and was told abruptly "no lettuce" .When we requested lemon for our water "no lemon". The same issue with the soup "no crackers" C'mon people! We were also overcharged. Poor food and service.

Ordered beef sandwich and soup. Soup came after the sandwich and fries. Waitress never returned to the table. Had to attend the kitchen to ask for our bill. Sandwich was full of fat. We have seen this restaurant slowly slip over the past year. No where near what you would expect. We won’t be back.

This location is also a Harvey's, with a ample parking lot. It's near the university. They have a walk-up window. Staff was excellent. I've had take-out from here about 5 times. Four times the food has been really good. But this last time, the chicken was a tad bit dry. I'll still go back, because the odds are ever in my favour. I recommend eating here.

I wrote after order processed, in a pop up box that everything be included with my order, as this location has a track record of missing or wrong items. Why is there no comments section other than food allergies included within the order app? Again, per usual, missing 6 legs of chicken, 1 poutine, 1 bowl of soup - got the crackers, though. Whoop de doo! Buns were reheated, not fresh. What happened to the regular style dinner rolls you used to serve, much better than these dried up ciabatta rolls. Oh, the limp, lukewarm, tasteless burnt fires? What is up with that - last time I received all the burnt bits as well. Quality issue or you just don't care what you serve to paying customers. Try to support local businesses but there is absolutely no consistency at this location. Can people not READ at this location? The drive thru, Aug 23, 2021, chk # 5440, I have a credit - no chalet sauce (your signature sauce for chicken) was not in order, despite me asking is everything in the bag! Why don't you have a spot online where I can use my credit? I don't know what to say - I have never experienced such incompetent service anywhere else. I should receive more than a credit for what was missing - it should be a full Family Pack Meal, at least. I should not have to call you or open my bag and examine the order EVERY TIME! This is beyond ridiculous. I think an online review is in order.

Last time!! We Ordered online for Curbside pick up for walker road, Windsor. Said 5:54 pick up time. Arrived on time. Clicked on I’ve arrived with car information. Sat outside for 15 minutes ?. Went inside no one came to counter. Waited 10 more minutes. Finally asked if I had been served. Couldn’t find my name or order on computer. Finally said they didn’t get notice we were here and that we could have gone through the drive thru. I said we couldn’t As we had a large trailer hooked up. She found our order. I said I hope it’s not cold as it has been sitting for over 25 minutes. She said she would warm it up. Five minute drive home. It’s cold!! And barely any sweet potato fries. And the chicken in one order was overcooked, mostly bone. See photo. Last order was at beginning of Covid And service was the same. Not impressed. Can usually depend on Swiss chalet.

I have been a loyal customer for years with this restaurant. But during covid, I have noticed that things had been slipping. Then this last order happened. I ordered a quarter chicken meal for myself and a warm up half chicken special for my husband. My meal was fine. On the other hand, my husband's was not by any stretch of the imagination. The broccoli soup was fine. Then the rest was inedible. The chips were hard and cold. The roll was rock hard, and the chicken was dry, like it had been around for a while and was covered with their new awful buffalo sauce (which he did not want) obviously in order to conceal the fact that it had been sitting around. Chris could not eat anything, so he had soup for supper pretty much. It was clear that we received old food, maybe a castoff. I called customer service. I was put on hold, then they hung up on me. So I called again, explained to the new agent what happened, and she went to get the manager, who told her they could offer a $15 coupon to Swiss Chalet. I told her I did not want to eat there any more because of what happened and could they credit my card, and the manager told her they could not do that and to send out a rush order of the same meal. It never happened. So I sent an email to the company. The manager again offered a $15 coupon to be used in the restaurant that was good for 90 days, and I had to show this letter when I went. I do not want to go in to a restaurant because I am high risk and we are in a lockdown; as well, I do not trust we will have a good meal at this establishment. I comprehend things are hard for restaurants. Frankly I am going to use local mom and pop shops from now on, if I ever do order out again. But they have permanently lost two or more customers (because I will spread the news) this week. My husband and I are struggling every bit as much as these restaurants. He could lose his job with things the way they are. Restaurants need not appeal to our sense of pity to stay open. Show a bit of pride and do a good job!
