I went in for my lunch and only had one hour to order and eat, when I told this to the greeter/server she became irritated. She later brought my salad and tossed it on the table. The food is good but it's not worth the bad treatment.

Today's food was good but the biggest disappointment is the service. The two young servers appeared to be high on cannabis and were dazed out. They were super slow and appear to have no training. It was frustrating not only for us but other customers as well.

I was out in Ashland for a couple weeks for work and fast food was getting old at lunch time every day.... When I spotted bonsai out the corner of my eye as I have eaten at the couple I knew about so I peeked my stomachs interest. As per usual it did not fail to quench my tastbuds and appetite. The waitress was very helpful and quick with everything. She also let us know about the special's.. that actually saved us a few dollars . I would definitely recommend if your in the area to stop in and enjoy the food .

I have been coming here for 8 years, and the food is good, but the wait is too long, and the service is not all that great.I was there today i came in early only 2 table s ahead of us and 40 minutes later after other people that came after us were served before we did and upon asking the waitress, her reply,"Sorry I don't have control over that". Now that Is not good customer service.A long time ago, they would offer edamame for dine ins, and now they charge for it.The wait was compensated at least then with that, but now is long wait and no good service.Will probably stop coming for a while.

***DEAD BUG IN FOOD!!***I love Bonsai. The food is good but JesusI found a half a bug in my food.It kinda looks like a cockroach.???I just wanted to celebrate my birthday with some sushi and I got so grossed out I couldn’t finish it.
I always come here when visiting Ashland, and this time had a small meal solo. The Vegas roll was delightful, but the miso soup had a strange flavor. This won't prevent my visiting again.

I love the sushi here. That's the overwhelming positive that brings me back. The negatives are I find the inside dinning room cramped and the booths uncomfortable. In drastic need of a renovation with the "bar" seats unusable because they use that space for storage (making for a strange and cluttered ambiance). I also discourages single patrons. I do also find it frustrating that they stop taking orders 30 mins before closing. If the restaurant is open, they should serve you, if you want it to close 30 mins sooner, just post the new time instead of turning people away when they are clearly there well before closing.
