When places some fancy ice cream places have lines out the door and all kinds of crazy stuff going on, it's nice to go to a good old fashioned ice cream shop. Plenty of choices. Friendly staff. Fair prices. And walking distance from the Bigi Food Cartel.
So I have always been a fan of Mexican "Helado". The ice cream is always extra creamy and delicious. I had previously been to the shop on Main Street in Hillsboro near Shute Park, but this place blew my mind. So I got the rum raisin ice cream in a waffle cone. It was really good. A very different ice cream place, with a Mexican flavor. You'll be a little intimidated with the choices when you walk in. Because other than ice cream, there are frozen drinks, popsicles etc. My daughter just wanted to get traditional ice cream. But my husband and I went with the spicy popsicles -mango chili and pineapple chili. I loved the spicy mango popsicle.
