Wonderful and interesting food. Items you probably would not make at home! Service was good but a little quick at clearing the courses before totally finished. Price is reasonable and I'm glad students are learning the culinary arts.

I'd like to give a mediocre review so folks won't know about this great spot, but I can't. Just have to rave about every part of our experience! Thanks so much for all the effort the students and faculty make to have our meal so delightful! Best wishes! Kate & Gary

This restaurant is a training program for the Central Oregon Community College Culinary program. That said, they work on giving the perfect culinary experience and, boy, did they deliver! Service by Iris was attentive, friendly, efficient without being intrusive. The appetizer salad of kale, apples, almonds, blue cheese with a dressing of cider vinaigrette was lovely—very fresh, high quality ingredients and dressed just right. The Moroccan lamb tagine was seasoned in a complex, interesting way. All the flavors were a treat to the palate. The lamb was so tender and tasty. I'm not usually a big cheesecake fan so I was pleasantly surprised by the lightness and more subtle sweetness of this recipe which was complimented by the plum sauce. Very nice. The only slight disappointment were the popovers which had failed to pop and therefore were dense (Paul would say “stodgy” on the Great British Baking Show) and the garlic-herb butter was too heavy-handed with both garlic and herbs. Sometimes too much of a good thing is actually too much. Overall, including an excellent wine selection, the lunch was amazing. We can't wait to eat here again. The others in our party felt the same way! Thank you, CCOC culinary students!

What a great deal. $15 for a three course lunch. As always, everything from the greeter, to the drinks (hot cider), and the food and the service (thanks Iris) were outstanding. I love that you offer this to the community. I look forward to my next dining experience with you. Thank you!!

Elevation is always a treat! This time the highlight was the lamb tagine - a beautiful dish with delicious (but not too much) seasonings and spices. I appreciate the excellent student servers who always make me feel like a special guest, and the prices can't be beat.

Delightful lunch at Elevation. Food was excellent, but wish there had been a vegetarian option. Music was loud, but turned down per request. Service was attentive, but not always discrete, table conversation should never be interrupted. Will return again if I can get a reservation.

First, my friend and I really enjoyed our table right by the fire since it was a cold day. Our server was very attentive. The bread with pumpkin spiced butter was extraordinary. Our salads were dressed perfectly with a light dressing. The salmon with roumalade and chips was cooked perfectly. Lastly, the cheesecake was the perfect ending not too sweet but delicious.

Such an enjoyable lunch with special friends. We felt truly pampered. Bryan, our waiter, was extremely attentive and attended to our every request. Food was beautifully presented and SO scrumptious! Look forward to our next visit! Thank you! Patricia Nelson

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch today. It was fun talking to the students about their plans after graduation. The service started out very slow but once our courses were ready thd service picked up. What a wonderful addition to COCC and Bend.

I go to school at the local college and found out there is a culinary program that operates a public facing restaurant on campus. My curiosity got the better of me and so I went to check out what this is all about. I booked a table for 11:00 and arrived at 11:05 (sorry), as I arrived the students are still doing the team talk but they soon spotted me, and expected me as they have correctly called out my name without looking at the guest list and I was soon escorted to a table at a quiet corner of the restaurant. Service was top notch, they are all very savvy on the timing of approaching customers' tables at just the right time. They often synchronize their service to your eating, so that as you put down the napkin after wiping your mouth (or face), your finished dishes are removed from the table the same second, the same SECOND! This level of precision is unheard of, perhaps this can only be topped by having someone actually wiping your face for you! But of cause you came for the food. I had the Roasted Carrot Soup and Moroccan Lamb Tagine as the main. I have never been to Africa so I cannot judge on the authenticity of the lamb dish, but I like the texture and the tenderness of the meat, which as you know if you have done any cooking is quite difficult to achieve with lamp meat. But bear in mind that you are coming in for lunch so the portion is modest but should be enough to power you through the rest of the workday. For dessert I had the Basque Burnt Cheese Cake, no other options. I do like cheese cakes more that most other cake type deserts, but I am very picky and always prefer the Japanese variant, so I will give a 8/10 due to lack of options (ice-cream would be nice), your mileage vary and might enjoy the cheese cake more than I did. The price was phenomenal, all that, for $15, in Bend? The price/quality ratio is unreal. If you are still considering this place, just do it and book a table already! They don't serve poison and you have nothing to lose but $15.

This is a wonderful offering by COCC. It is a great value for money. It was quiet on the night we were there, which was fine for a weeknight. The ambience is fairly elegant, despite the casual dress code. Our server was very good and the food was excellent. I thought it was wonderful that our tip went to scholarships. I'm so glad this is available.

Elevation is a teaching restaurant, and we have always had good meals and top notch service. Cascades Culinary Institute does an outstanding job of preparing chefs, pastry chefs, and servers,

Elevation ticked all the boxes for my husband and I for a great dining experience. Reservations at this restaurant run by the culinary program at Central Oregon Community College fill up quickly at the beginning of the spring semester. The prices for a carefully prepared, cooked to perfection creative meal are a great value. Our server, Emilee, was prompt, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

Elevation is a gift to the Central Oregon community. Let's start with the most important element: the food was fabulous: delicious, nuanced, well plated, overall spectacular. The ambience was lovely (beautiful, quiet, with excellent, but obtrusive, service). Everything about the experience exceeded expectations.

Eating at elevation is always an excellent experience. The space makes each meal feel special, the food is unique but appeals broadly, and the staff are friendly and professional. I had a delicious pork tenderloin sandwich that really made my day! I also enjoyed a lovely cranberry mocktail, and the pumpkin cake for dessert had fantastic flavor without being too rich or too sweet. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
