Growing up in Bend, Sergeant's Cafe is just part of the landscape, something That has always been and always will be. I remember sitting at the counter with my dad drinking a hot chocolate with whipped cream on top and ordering a butter horn with a huge smile on my face. I love that Sergeant's Cafe has never changed. This is a taste of old bend one of the last real landmarks and always a destination for my family and I on a weekend excursion over the mountain.

Good basic breakfast food USA style, but more importantly good basic service. Friendly, lots of regulars in the crowd, many older like me, but a younger crowd as well. Just a nice place.

Excellent food excellent service! The waitress didn’t miss a beat! The reason for the 4 star is because they need to do a better job at answering the phone. I almost didn’t come in due to the rude way they answered the phone when I called to see if they were doing dine in since the website says they are not! We are from out of town and was looking for a good breakfast place so all I had to go by was the website and I know lots of the websites have been wrong so I called. They luckily redeemed themselves in food and personal service.

I've only been there once, and I usually don't write a review, but..... their breakfast really needs help. Their biscuits and gravy is a powder commercial gravy with a scattering of sausage. The bread they put it on was very poor. Corn beef hash breakfast was the same gravy on just hash browns. Nothing else. Coffee was good. You don't go to this place for the atmosphere, but if they made their food even marginally good, I think they'd do ok.
