SakéOne Brewery • $$

“I've wanted to come for a while, and it was amazing! I'd been buying their G Joy and G 50 for some time and was excited to try a broader range of their wares. Definitely one of the best tours and tastings I've ever had. Carly was so knowledgeable and friendly and really helped us get to know the SakéOne family. The tasting we picked was of all SakéOne craft sakés and was just delightful. I appreciated experiencing all the various nuances of flavor. Carly was super attentive and provided lots of great info. My friend was also super impressed and thought it was fantastic. I had such an excellent time and can't wait to bring back more folks to try our tasty saké!“

David Hill Vineyards & Winery Wineries • $$
46350 NW David Hill Rd, Forest Grove

“Small and intimate tasting room. We learned about the new releases and everything tasted great. It was too bad that a group with two very loud children who were coughing, yelling, and running around killed the vibe. With such a small tasting room and no where for kids to run around in the winter (plenty of space outside for kids and families in the summer months), we were a bit disappointed that we couldn’t fully relax. Will be back in the summer when there is more room to move away from loud families with children.“

Sidereus Vineyard & Winery Winery • $$

“My friend and I went here in February for the Valentine’s Wonderer card. Upon arriving, the building is lovely, and when you enter the fabulous energy that seeps into your being makes you feel so good and happy. I've never experienced that before. They have seating inside as well as seating on the balcony outside. The gentleman that seated us (outside, as it was a gorgeous sunny day) was just fabulous! The view was spectacular! Trees framing the view of a snow-covered Mt Hood and the vineyard below (of course, the vines were bare, but I'm sure come sping/summer that will just add to this gorgeous view). We started with the Chardonay, which was light with a hint of butteriness and a crisp after taste. It was very good. The next was their Pinot Gris, and let me just say it's sunshine in a bottle! The next 3 tastes were Pinot Noirs, and I admit I'm not one that goes for Pinot Noirs. Boy, did they prove me wrong! I love all 3. The first one was light, mildly fruity, with a hint of sweetness to finish (this was my favorite). This one came from their vines. The second one was sorced from Washington grapes, the taste was bolder, more of the traditional Pinot Noir flavors, but very good. The last was the most bold and was absolutely delightful! The cost is justified, but I'm on a very limited budget. The last was the Cabernet Sauvignon, and though again I'm not big on Sauvignons, it was one of the best I've had!I came home with the Pinot Gris and the 1st Pinot Noir. Yum!!! My friend and I agree we will be visiting this winery a lot! I highly recommend them! Cheers!“

“Love the two owners, Scott and Kathie. I was there for a tasting and wine club pickup. They set up a yummy cheese and treat platter for me and engaged me in friendly conversation. Their 2016 and 2017 Pinots are very good, but they make lots of reds and some whites. The club terms are reasonable and flexible.“
