“Yami sushi is easily the best all-around Asian food that you can get in Portland and their difference is in the small detail of each dish, every presentation. Each sushi roll is jampacked with flavor and bursting with ingredients in a perfect harmony and presentation. You can really tell the love that the chefs put into every single roll that they make. The quantity is also very generous, and portions will put you in a satisfying coma afterwards. They have a lot of various menu items, none of which you can go wrong with selecting. Whether that’s noodles, soups, rice dishes, sushi rolls, or the underrated appetizer/starters (spicy edamame 🔥, seaweed salad, tempura) and desserts ( Bing Soo is better than any standalone place in Portland ). They also have a lot of interesting beverage and alcoholic choices. The environment is very family run and cozy, and the real beautiful orchids and plant decorations on each table are very nice touch. The soy sauce is also handmade? I could drink a whole bottle.

The service is always very warm, welcoming and responsive. They take care of you right and it doesn’t take much to feel familiar.

Shout out to the kalbi item on the menu, which is also better than any Korean restaurant I’ve been to in Portland. A place full of hidden gems and lovely individuals working hard in their community.

“I had my first experience at Margarita Factory (Gresham) tonight and it was better than I imagined. The menu has plenty of options. In fact, just the Margarita menu was over-stimulating. The food is tasty, fast service. And such a kind and accommodating staff. I know people will say “it’s her job to do so,” but coming from someone in a wheelchair who doesn’t have use of her hands, I loved that my waiter kept walking by to refill my glass (it was never empty). I recommend this place for a cute little date night out or with a group of loved ones in celebration.”

“The restaurant building is an interesting structure and is the main reason we decided to try it. Plus there have always been many cars parked in the parking lot ... normally a good sign. Now I am wondering if it is overflow from Heidi's Restaurant across the street.
Service was polite but I wonder why staff was gathered in the central area with supplies sitting on tables in what should have been reserved for the bar.
If you like GIANT portions this is your place. My wife and I each ordered orange chicken with pork fried rice. It came with egg flower soup and appitizers of shrimp, egg rolls, and bbq pork. We left totally stuffed with three large takeout boxes. It was easily enough food for a family of five.
I would have preferred smaller portions, some spice in the cooking and a lower price. $50 is fair for so much food but why serve so much for just two orders. At least give the customers a warning in case they want to split an order.
As we left, we spotted the restaurant across the street ... it will definately be Heidi's next time.”

“My neighbors & I went to McMenamins Highland Pub for lunch last week. It was great. There was front row parking, not too busy yet. The waitress was really nice & upbeat. All 4 of us had the fish & chips. It was really good! Fish & chips were $24. Kind of high, but the flavor was great. Service was great. We'll go there again.”

“I was conducting a small real-world experiment to map how money moves through a local economic system and back to the federal government. I used bottled water on nearby trees, redeemed the empty containers through Oregon’s BottleDrop system, and followed how the redeemed value moved through a local business and eventually returned to federal government revenue through taxation.

A man at Buster’s watched me watering the trees, called me an expletive, and accused me of not paying taxes. I had no interest in stopping to explain an economic theory to someone insulting me, so I simply told him that I pay all of my taxes without deductions. He responded by insisting that I paid no taxes at all. A waitress from Buster’s came outside and began yelling at me as well.

The foolish part was not the experiment. It was watching two people representing a business confidently insult and accuse someone while having no understanding of what he was doing or how he handled his taxes.

I have not eaten there yet. But Buster’s looks great. I still plan to try it.”

We arrived very late, around 11:20 PM, and even though it was close to closing time, the staff treated us extremely well. They welcomed us warmly, prepared everything fresh for us, and made sure we had everything we needed without making us feel rushed at all.

The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is excellent, and you can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of their food. We really appreciated how well they took care of us, especially so late at night.

Definitely a 5-star experience. We will absolutely be coming back and highly recommend this place!”

“Walked in at 9 AM on a beautiful Saturday morning and asked for a cheeseburger and fry's. The burger was huge, with sliced tomato, onion and lettuce. The fry's were hot and delicious. I sat at the bar and was taken back to the way cafe's looked when I was a kid. Tracy, the server was a jewel. Parking is no problem. Most everyone else was eating breakfast, which looked awesome. You won't regret the food or the ambiance. Do it and enjoy. SMP”

“I can’t believe it took us so long to come try out Muteki! The decor is so cute, but most importantly their food goes CRAZY- I was so excited to try I forgot to take a pic before having a few bites of the black garlic ramen hahaha. The noodles are nice and thick with a good bite, and the chashu pork is thick cut and pre seared- it’s SO good!

I also have to say that I saw a review dinging the prices- their bowls def cost a couple bucks more than other spots, but I’d have to argue that it’s fully worth the price both in value and quantity. They’re practically pho bowls, and on top of that they do NOT hold back on toppings. We each got a full egg instead of just a half, and SO much pork! Also plenty of bamboo shoots and mushrooms to enjoy 🥰 Realistically we could have split one bowl and still been full. I’m stoked to come back and try their dumplings next time!

The one thing to note- if you park in the parking lot by Red Robin you’ll be able to enter through that side, but there isn’t a door chime to let the staff know someone’s arrived. We showed up while it was slow, so we crossed the restaurant to open the front door to let them know we were here and someone immediately came to seat us, but if we hadn’t done that they may have not realized we were there right away!”

CLEAN bathroom and the food was great. Tiny menu but quality. Definitely a cool hangout spot. It's tucked away in a weird corner parking lot but don't be fooled. They were not very busy on a Friday night which was surprising. I don't think many people know about this place so check it out and bring them some business. You can tell they poured their heart and soul into this place. Don't let their effort go to waste. They deserve a visit.”

We stopped in on a whim, and we were blown away by how clean, chill and inviting this place is. The owner was the one working and we spent a good amount of time chatting and getting to know the history of the place. He was very friendly.

The beers were ice cold and my vodka soda was poured well. We didn't eat any of the food, but were excited by the idea of ordering the freshly-made deli sandwiches in the future.

The bathrooms were impeccable. Literally one of the cleanest I've ever seen in a bar.

Video poker had a great selection and there was some really fun pinball machines as well.

If you haven't visited here, I highly recommend!”

“This place is so underrated!! Their Galbi (beef short-ribs) was DELICIOUS. I didn't have any expectation to be honest. I was hungry and craving Galbi and happened to be around that area. The portion was generous too. We made the special order so it might seems plated differently from the regular bowls and plates.

I'm not even a big fan of teriyaki places but this one surprised me. It is run by a Korean elderly couple. They were super nice. I wish they could gain more customers and sustain because I really like it but I live far from there. I’m definitely going back there whenever I swing by the Gresham area.”

“Usually I'm fine with the drinks that I get from here. I'm lactose intolerant and always swapped the regular milk to nondairy. It's never been an issue until recently with the new hired kids. The last 2 cups of coffee I had were not dairy-free. Even though the sticker printed on the cup said that it was, I didn't witness them making it, so after consumption, I suffered greatly.”

She has this sense that allows her to recognize situations before they become issues. I’ve seen this on several occatuons. Many of the regulars are chill wonderful people. Second the fries here tasted like delicious homemade fresh cut fries. Mocha perks from Burgerville are the best! I usually buy a jar of Burgerville spread once a month if not more often because it is that good.
The inside was clean and the service was phenomenal, especially during a rush. One worker made our day by taking back something and fixing it or customizing it, while being polite, multi tasking, and helping others during a busy time, all while being speedy. I was pleasantly surprised and it made my visit very enjoyable.”
