Came to order to go at 8:22 pm. Closing is listed publicly at 9pm yet I was turned away from service by two girls at the front saying they were, "closing early since it wasn't busy enough." Do not make plans to go here without calling and making sure they have 'decided' that evening to stay open and do their jobs.

Have been coming here for 20+ years, food is still great as well as the atmosphere. My big complaint from last night, was that our waitress was clearly on cocaine or some other kind of stimulant drug. She was speaking a million miles a minute, unable to hold concentration while we were ordering, and had to be reminded several times that we were missing multiple items ordered.

Our waitress went above and beyond what she had to do for us. I don't like spicy rubs or foods, and the taco seasoning they use on their ground beef for nachos is too spicy for me, and she totally let me pick something else and took it off our bill! Definitely tipped her incredibly well, and I will definitely be going back again soon!Wheelchair accessibility: They do have a wheelchair ramp.

Yeah baby... if you want a good meal, Hales is one of those "must go to" places...My personal recommendations are their Biscuits and Gravy or their Denver Omelet with Hashbrowns and smothered in their "Spartan Sauce"...which is a light cheese sauce that makes the steaming hot off of the grill Omelet "pop"...The other menu items and fare are all just as good... as I have been a customer of Hales for well in excess of 40 years, you could say that I know this from personal experience and taste testing. The Bar serves good stout Adult beverages, a decent two finger shot and good flavorful cup of Joe.
I absolutely love this place! Its old school German charm is hiding an absolutely perfect family dining experience similar to the affordable Supper Clubs of the Midwest! Love the feel of the “lounge” it reminds me of home maybe it’s the degenerates pouring $20’s into the Oregon Lottery machines maybe it’s just the stellar staff that’s been holing it down for the backroom regulars for longer then they want me to mention! Either way it’s cozy & if it’s not your scene the regular dining room is perfect for your family… (or so I’ve been told! I like the backdoor I mean room)Kid-friendliness: In the dining room yes!!! The lounge is for my people or really cool kidsWheelchair accessibility: Pretty sure yup! It would be redichules to think a place in biz this long wouldn’t!

We were welcomed warmly and brought to our table shortly after arriving. We were there around 4:30 pm on a Friday night, it wasn't busy at all. Our server was great and attentive. Our food was brought to us quickly, piping hot and delicious. They celebrated their 50th anniversary back in 2021, a classic restaurant.Parking: If you are coming from the West, it might be a challenge to get into the parking lot due to the busy intersection.
