Drove about an hour to check this place out, heard good things and good BBQ isn't easy to find. I'm glad to say that this was definitely worth the trip. The brisket sandwich was absolutely fantastic, the person running the truck was very friendly, and it was an all around pleasant experience. Will visit again.

Great pulled pork sandwiches with fresh, tangy coleslaw! Make sure to get extra napkins! I don't eat bbq often, but every once in awhile I get a craving and Mt. Hood BBQ makes it easy to satisfy the desire. It's a food truck, so everything is fresh and fast. For those with larger appetites, they have a sampler platter with ribs, brisket and burnt ends. They make their own sausage and they sell it cooked, or you can buy a package to take home. Same with ribs, you can buy a take and reheat package for an easy dinner at home. Plus mac & cheese, beans and several other menu items and specials. In addition to their location at 1301 Belmont, they are at most of the festivals in and around Hood River like the Hops Festival, the Hood River Valley Harvest Festival, etc.

There is no atmosphere. It's a food truck in a parking lot. Not even a pretty parking lot.I've only been once so i can only speak to one product, the pulled pork sandwich. Don't get it! The BBQ isn't what i prefer, more flavor, more sauce, but the real problem is that it won't be a sandwich for long enough to eat half of it. The price/quality is fine, not great, but as a sandwich per-se, it's pure fail. You'll end up eating at least the last half with a fork.. don't bother. Order their pulled pork in some other form factor.

I drive an hour just to get BBQ from this food truck! It's fantastic and being able to order online is so nice, especially while we're on our way. The pulled pork was amazing and the sauce was great. The coleslaw was delicious and savory, even after surviving the drive back. Also, the portions were huge (see my picture of the burnt ends with coleslaw.) Everything was just... awesome. Easy parking too.

Closes at 6 on a Friday. Another hood river tourist trap that isn't even open for tourists.Reply: if you've had those hours for years then list them on Google...

Good service. The loaded nachos was ok. Truly loaded but the chips were mainly crumbs and a bit over loaded with sauce/sour cream. The brisket was also ok.

Expensive but not very good. I think it tastes a little like cardboard.

I really WANT to like this food truck more than I do, but after two separate visits, both with the same issues, I'm probably done until I believe things have changed. Most recent visit - April 1, around noon. Ordered 2 3-meat samplers: #1 -- brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork; #2 - brisket, tri-tip, and pulled pork. Total cost: $40. All 4 kinds of bbq suffered the same issues - dry meat (like it had sat way too long under a heat lamp), and little smoke flavor. Brisket needs long slow cooking done right over wood, and the brisket itself needs enough fat in the cut to create tender BBQ goodness. The brisket served here was mostly like a dried out roast beef, with a a drizzle of BBQ sauce patterned on top. Burnt ends were slightly better - perhaps the smaller cuts didn't suffer as much under the heat lamps? Pulled pork was just stringy without much flavor. We're lucky enough to have other good bbq places around (Grasslands, Apple Valley BBQ), so maybe the owners here should seek out some thoughts from those others? We'd like them all to succeed - we need good spots for food. But I can't see myself paying $40 for a subpar lunch again when there are other places just minutes from here with fresh food made on the spot. Sorry.

Hands down, the best bbq I've ever had. I love the ribs the corn is to die for & the slaw bowl with brisket & burnt ends is my favorite ‍ I always go for the napalm sauce, it's not spicy had a little bit of a kick. If you haven't tried the brisket chili whenever they have you better ‍ and get some. They'll have your order Out and ready 8 minutes or less!!! You won't be disappointed

Great place to eat. We have lunch at least a couple of times a month and never had a bad experience. Highly Recommend!
