“We had a great meal and beer at 1188 Brewery on my birthday. We were visiting the John Day Fossil Beds for birthday and we found the town of John Day nice place to visit.”

“The food here is wonderful. My wife and I have been coming here for years and the steaks are always perfectly cooked. This is absolutely the best dinner restaurant around. The cocktail menu is also excellent. Reservations are almost mandatory because of they do not have a reservation from 730 onward, they will close as soon as the last seated table is done. Love this gem of a restaurant”

“A traditional American pizza diner you don't see those anymore, and their food quality was much above what you would get at another pizza store. I only had their calzones, but it had a good amount of filling and wasn't mostly bread like most places.”

“1st time eating here and I’m so glad we stopped by. The staff was amazing, they were friendly and helpful. The food was so flippin’ good. I had the California Benedict, which had a lot of good flavor and the English muffin bottom was crisp and delicious. Normally I would leave the muffin but it was good, I ate every bite. Highly recommend if you are in town and want a good breakfast spot.”

“Me and my boyfriend were passing through on a road trip and stopped for food and a beer after a really long day. The bartender was great and made us burgers while chatting with us the whole time. It was a great place to stop and relax after driving. And the burgers were awesome too!”
