“Stopped in because of Portland Mercury Sandwich Week. They were offering the Kimcheesesteak sandwich. It was ok, what i beleive was American cheese didn't quite work for me. Also had the lettuce wraps, where the ground chicken filling was very tasty! Enjoyed the service, very friendly. The restaurant has 2 garage roll up doors that they can open when it's warmer out. They also have a nice bar. I'd definitely consider going back to try some of their other menu items.Parking: There is more parking on the side of the building“
“Han Oak comes with high praise and I had really high expectations about dinner.Banchan - the OTA beancurd dish was great, simply because the beancurd was just outstanding. Tastes like a creamy soy burrata - just makes me wanna go to OTA tomorrow! Appreciate that they did a simple chilli-vinegar dressing on it. Just let the star ingredient shine! The kimchi was a little underwhelming. Not much balance of heat, salt and acid… just alot of acid. I wonder if it would fare better with longer fermentation. The corned beef soo yuk is awesome - I can see the chef’s brilliance here. Great interpretation of a traditional dish. The thinly sliced fatty beef goes great with sliced veg. Great texture and flavour. The yuzu packs a punch and makes the corned beef work so well here… while not overwhelming the broth, which is just awesome - save it so you can have it with the rice later. This dish is 5star!Perhaps the gimbap is just not a dish that allows the chef to show his/her finesse and skill. Beef and pork were cooked and seasoned nicely tho the rest of the ingredients basically needed no cooking - a basic pickle, saute or served fresh.Personally, I feel a gimbap tastes way better in a roll cos the mouthfeel of a well packed roll - when you bite into the various flavours and the texture/ crunch just bursts in your mouth - is simply lost when deconstructed.Bingsu - it’s pretty standard fare tho here’s a suggestion… this would be way better if the pineapple and mango toppings were on top - as they usually are. Not hidden at the bottom.I thk it was gojucharu sprinkled on top - that does nothing for bingsu on its own. Well… maybe if there was more condensed milk, that could work. But chilli powder on ice? Hmm.Tho when you dig down to the fruity flavours at the bottom, then you can tell why the combi works. A clever twist on mango with spice but lost in the order of presentation.Tip - dig in quickly without toppling the bingu mountain! Small tweak that would hugely improve the experience.Maybe the chef was trying to turn the bingsu on its head creatively.. but I thk the usual way fares better.Good service with chirpy staff. May come back when they have a different menu and would recommend you to consider that.“
“Stunning and delicious modern twist on Korean flavors. Portions were enough for everyone to be satisfied without being overfull. Set menu priced for a splurge-y dinner. Cocktails were unique and fun. Soju had the cute little auto-pouring frog. Cool to see the meats being aged in the back fridges (during the walk to the back restrooms).“
“Was in town for a few days and came in for lunch. First time at this spot though I've been to Han Oak before. Lunch was really excellent. I went with the Ban Chan side dishes, a dol sot bowl of rice, and split the Korean fried chicken with one wing of each flavor (essence of ramen and sweet and spicy) The ban chan was quite good, especially the marinated spinach. The wings were also excellent. Beautiful crunch and flavor. One order plus the sides was enough for lunch (for me, at least). My only disappointment was the dol sot rice. It wasn't actually dol sot. There was no fried crunch on the bottom, probably because it wasn't actually cooked in this pot. Just served that way. Felt a little unnecessary. Just a side of rice will do. Service was excellent. Sat at the bar and my bartender was kind and sweet. Was lovely to be back in PDX. Will come back for lunch next time I return.“
“My son had the Spicy Gochujang fried chicken and I had the snow cheese fried chicken. The food was good. All the chicken is double fried which makes it nice and super crispy. The snow cheese was sweet kind of like a parmesan cheese coating. It was good but I found it to be a little too much coating. I think I would have enjoyed it more had it been a little less of a coating but that's my own personal thought. My son really liked the Spicy Gochujang fried chicken. I thought it was going to be real spicy and I tried some of the sauce and it was really good and not overly spicy. He also got the kimchi macaroni and cheese which he enjoyed. All came with a side of pickled daikon radishes that were absolutely fantastic. Each came with three wings that were bone in and huge! I was really surprised at how large the wings were. Overall we would definitely go back again. You can also get your food and go into the tap House that it's connected to to have a beer or order a beer and bring it out to the food court! Fun little atmosphere and fantastic customer service!“
“Despite the restaurant being quaint, the energy inside is electric! The posters on the wall are just so cool, my friends and I tried to identify all the movies (and dramas?) we've watched. And the food is so delicious! We had the corn dogs which were delicious, and the tteokbokki was amazing! We also ordered the spicy sweet and regular soy garlic chicken and they were really good, too. I think the spicy sweet could be a little spicier as well. And the bossam! I still think about it at times. It was delicious! I want to go back ASAP.“
“The owners are very hospitable and kind. The food always tastes fresh and delicious. The serving amount is insane, two young kids can share a plate of chicken teriyaki.I went tonight with my two kids and parents, sat in front of the TV on the wall. As we are sitting down, the owner comes by and without a word, puts on cartoons for the kids to watch while we wait on the food (which came fairly quickly). The service was top notch, especially when the owner knew we were about finished and he dropped off to go containers and lollipops for the kids. It was a hit. Also, after leaving, more people flooded the restaurant. It was near capacity. This place does not disappoint.“
“Fantastic food! This is a charming little eatery with scrumptious food, friendly & fast service, at a fair price. Dine in is clean and cozy and I like the Korean pop videos subtling playing in the background (nothing too obnoxious or loud). Great place!“
“Absolutely delicious chicken! Just the right amount of crispy-ness and crunch. Awesome sauces to try and something for everyone's taste. We've tried them all and keep going back to the bulgogi. But the garlic parmasean (one of the new offerings) is a new favorite! It's a bonus that besides the great food that the staff is friendly, the service is fast and the restaurant is clean and tidy. I'd say that the only downside is the size of the establishment. If you have more than 2-3 people, get the food to go. It's too small to eat there. There are some picnic tables outside but unless it's summer, it's not really feasible to utilize them.“
“Awesome food!! The owner was also SO friendly and kind, she greeted me with a huge smile. The food portions are quite generous and delicious! The kimchi is also super bubbly and fresh I couldn’t get enough. The prices are also the best I saw among all the others. For the quality, amount of food and super friendly owner I can definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back!! 맛있어요!“
“This is some of the best Korean food, and maybe the best fried chicken I've ever had. I've eaten here multiple times, and brought several friends to try, and we've never had anything but outstanding food. Truly one of the hidden gems of the regional food scene.“
“My daughter and I tried their corn dogs, she got the original and I got the crispy, I have to say I really enjoyed it. Good beef sausage and mozzarella cheese stacked inside of a hand dipped planko honey batter. Yumm. My daughter said she wasn’t hungry but she sure ate the entire thing. Try it for yourself and you be the judge.“
“Delicious Korean fried chicken, fries, sandwiches, & bi bim bap!The portions are filling, food is flavorful and has a great texture (fried chicken is always crispy & crunchy, bi bim bap had the crispy & gooey sunnyside up egg, soft rice, fresh greens, etc).My personal favorite is the chicken bi bim bap (tofu option is good too) and they can make it gluten free which is hard to find! The employees (I think owners) are so nice and helpful. Jin Dak is one of my favorite food trucks in Portland.Dietary restrictions: They can make the bi bim bap gluten free, and tofu option for pescatarians.Kid-friendliness: Fried chicken is a fave of our kids“
“Laura, the assistant manager is wonderful, kind and very smart. She is very friendly and as soon as you walk through the door she greet you with a smile and always ask how you were doing. She remembers my order all the time. I do not even have to say a word. I’ve been going there since they have open for the very first day.“
“Super delicious Korean food. So flavorful and delicious and the variety is just phenomenal. I think Nak Won is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in town and I've always had a wonderful experience each time I've visited. Everyone is super nice and welcoming, and it's very clean inside. So delicious. I need to visit again soon!“
“I love everything about this place 100/10 some of the best Hawaii food spot in Portland. The vibe the food the staff all of it was spot on and a great experience! Check it out bring some friends! Recommend the Kalibi short ribs and the Mac salad! Super yummy! And this gotta be some of the chicken katsu in town“
“From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at how busy it was but such a warm comfortable atmosphere. I came for my Birthday dinner and ended the night with a complimentary dessert! Our waitress was very informative of the menu, recommendations, and how the service was going to go in order. I appreciated the Experience. I will be returning.“
“Shockingly good. Like, I am so glad I happened to wander in! It's a Chipotle- or Mongolian BBQ-type setup where you select your ingredients and they are prepared for you into japchae stir fry or stew. But it is executed really well with amazing flavors and truly interesting items to select from. I got lotus root in my stir fry, there are a couple different mushrooms to select from there are proteins like shrimp and lamb and others, several types of greens and even the cabbage is available in full leaf or shredded format. You can really make this dish your own. I will say that even the number one is a fair amount of heat. But I'm telling you, the even with my nose running I was looking forward to every fork full.I really don't care about atmosphere so I just default gave it four stars. But the food and the service really deserve five stars.“
“One of the best ramen experiences I have had since living in Portland. Erica, behind the counter, could not have been more amazing. Extremely accommodating and helpful. This place offers the at home atmosphere with a Japanese twist. Large portions, offers a great bang for your buck and yet still delicious. I will be back for sure.“
“Has a little bit of a hole in the wall feel to it but amazingly good food. Our table ordered a variety of things and we did family style. It gave us a lot of opportunity to try a different things. I highly recommend it. You know, the family style part and also the restaurant!“
“Awesome family, friendly restaurant. There's a spacious feel to the restaurant and it is laid out so uniquely. There's fish tanks and a kid's play corner (so children can play while they wait for the food or after they are done eating). The service was friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! We got the orange chicken and the shrimp ramen and everything tasted amazing! Our little kid was super happy toddling around & we all had a great time! Definitely will be back!“
“Been going here for years (around 6) and it's always been amazing. Highly recommend getting their soups (my favorite is the Gamja Tang) ❤️ their mackerel is also amazing! The servers are always super kind and attentive, one of the reasons I always come back when I have a chance!“
“it is in the heart of downtown a couple blocks from Powell Books in the beginning of the park block the most important it is clean and it's a good diversity of food cart they even have a double decker bus that serve coffee in the morning and beer and wine in the evening plenty of seating outside looking at the park block.“
“This place is so cute nestled in this great food truck food court it’s attached to this fantastic indoor eating and bar experience with multiple levels to it the food from Ko sisters was amazing great flavor large portions even people inside asked “wow what is that?” I will be back to try most of her menu laid back relaxing environment great staff!“
“Super cool spot with great food and some of the best house ginger beer I've ever had. Perfect after work spot, especially if you've had a rough day. I enjoyed a pork bahn mi with sweet potato fries while reading the subtitles to Dune on one of their flat screens. Life is good ?“
“It was surprisingly not that busy on a Saturday evening, I think I got lucky coming before the dinner rush. After ordering they were still making the beef so I had to wait 15 minutes for it to be ready. There were things to check out around the area so the time went by pretty quickly. Rice Bowl with Beef 8.5/10 - I was hungry at the time of this meal so opening that box was like opening treasure. It was very tasty and I ate it all really quickly, but I wish there had been more kimchi. With the amount that was given, it seems like a no brainer to go with the 2 potstickers. Although, I would definitely get this again if I ever come back. Potstickers 9/10 - I also got the 5 potstickers on the side, and these really also really good. They were crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. I don't think I'd get this on the side again but it was good!“
“My daughter and I tried their corn dogs, she got the original and I got the crispy, I have to say I really enjoyed it. Good beef sausage and mozzarella cheese stacked inside of a hand dipped planko honey batter. Yumm. My daughter said she wasn’t hungry but she sure ate the entire thing. Try it for yourself and you be the judge.“
“I recently visited Fomo Chicken, and I'm happy to say that the food has really improved over the years. The soy garlic fried chicken I had was delicious, and I appreciated the amount food I got for my money. While the customer service was okay, it was the food that stole the show. The flavor of the fried chicken was spot on, and it's clear that they've made strides in providing a better dining experience. If you're a fan of soy garlic fried chicken, this place is definitely worth a visit. Overall, a tasty and satisfying meal!“
“I Messed up my order and they let me change it 5 min later no charge. Best place around. Plus the food is also best place around ?? seriously 100/100 will eat here as long as they are openSeems under new management for a bit now post COVID and they rock ?“
“First time in Portland and the Hyatt House was an excellent choice of hotel for me.The location by the River was relaxing, as well as, the well maintained pool. Very friendly and helpful staff, this hotel has it all, a nice hot breakfast, a Bar, a pool and is in a great location. Would stay again!“
“Best fried chicken I have ever had! We live all the way in Albany now but I would make the drive for this chicken again. The food was done fast for the amount we had ordered, it was all hot and fresh. The kid at the counter was social distancing and very polite! We got the whole chicken and at first my husband remarked that it was expensive, but after eating some for lunch and taking it home he retracted that and noted there was a LOT of chicken in the box. The wings were good too, the Hot wings were really not as hot as we expected from a korean chain but they have a hotter option that we’ll try next time. My kids loved the pickled radishes and popcorn chicken. Not sure how everything was SO crispy but I love it!“
“I'm pleased to review Ichi Teriyaki 25, for wonderful warm and friendly service over the phone and in-person, to the very fast cooking and service, to the flavors and proper cooking of our dinner. Thank you so much <3Vegetarian options: VEGETABLE DELUXE IS AMAZING AND I LOVED IT EVEN MORE THAN MY CHICKEN KATSU!“
“Solid Korean food cart option when at Oregon City Brewing. Courteous and wicked fast staff. Diverse offering of dishes. The sauces could use some more “kick” though.Parking: Plenty of parking, but it will get competitive during sunny weekend dinner hours to find a spot.“
“This is a culinary gem! From the vibrant ambiance to the mouthwatering barbecue, every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. The owner couples were friendly and attentive. So happy for them as their business is growing bigger. Parking was convenient. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Korean cuisine!“
“Went in late on a Sunday afternoon with a party of 5. Friendly and accommodating staff were awesome! The food was top notch, we even stayed for dessert. A great experience, will be going back again!Dietary restrictions: Easy, yummy vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere with fun optionsWheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access“
“Love this place! Never been there but I use DoorDash. LOVE the egg drop soup. Has some veggies in it along with plenty of egg, nice texture. Also love the fried rice, and the spring rolls are fabulous. Food travels well. It always makes me happy. Gotta go, it just arrived....“
“Just finished eating a bowl of bibimbap- then tried to eat some from of my son’s bowl! It was delicious! Large portions, fresh and great flavor. We also had the katsu- this was a winner too, the melted cheese was a great touch. I’ll be back- highly recommended( sorry no photo- we ate it too fast)“
“This is my preferred AYCE kbbq spot, the menu has more variety compared to places like Kkoki. Service is pretty consistent, not the best but not bad. I do feel like they start to get stingy & come around a lot less after we order anymore than like 3 rounds. Place is cool, very loud, K-pop music playing in the background, people chatting, grills sizzling. Great place for hanging out with friends & drinking a little too much soju. This location is my preferred over their sister location in Beaverton as well, we tried the one in Beaverton once & lord our server must've been having a bad day because they gave us the nastiest attitude & barely checked on us. We had to ask other servers for help.Make sure to always get a grill change before your next round.“
“You can taste the quality, they say its all made from scratch but its different than acrually trying it and trust me, absolutely 10/10 high quality food. The food is always served HOT which is also an added bonus, easily my favorite teriyaki in the greater metro area and I'm not even from Tualatin.“
“Kim Jong Grillin' catered our wedding back in 2018. They drove out of their way to do so, and fed many people who had never even tried Korean food before this. It was a huge hit and people still bring up the food! They had great communication and worked with us. I would highly recommend.“
“Got a kimchi quesadilla with tofu and honestly didn’t know what to expect. It was a unique flavor combo that worked surprisingly well. The acid and funk from the kimchi works really well in the quesadillas and the tofu was dry enough that it didn’t make the whole dish soggy which was a concern I had. Overall a very tasty hearty meal with a yummy and unique flavor combination.“
“Me and my partner love coming here! The staff are always super helpful and friendly and of course the food never disappoints. You can also order so many of the dishes vegetarian. It is honestly a hidden gem in Portland, especially among the vegan/veggie community. There is something on the menu for everyone! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!“
“The chicken and kimchi blew us away! Crunchy, the right amount of spicy, juicy. We weren't looking for it but it found us. It's also in The Zipper, which is a great food court with lots of options and good drinks. They were really cool, highly recommend.“
“My fiance, his cousin, and I had dinner here a few nights ago, and all though there was only hour left until close, they served us with a great attitude and a smile on their faces. We did the BBQ, and the food came out super quick, and everything was delicious. The serves was great the lady's were beyond kind. Definitely recommend it if you look for a very homey vibe?“
“The hand pulled noodles are the star here, no need to order anything else. The noodles with beef were very good, overall it was a filling meal. I do wish there was more of the veggie bits mixed in, meaning more spinach and cabbage and carrots. I like a good balance of veggies and meat and noodles. I recommend take out, eating in, the restaurant was very cold.“
“I didn't order Jjajang, but the regular Jjajang noodles were dry and so dry that it was difficult to even mix the seasoning, and by the time I got there, the noodles had turned into rice cakes... I've never been there, but I have to say that I experienced the desert firsthand. I desperately wanted to pour at least some hot water. Sweet and sour pork was so delicious. The server was also very friendly. Thank you.“
“I love du’s but I feel it’s falling off. They’ve been out of spicy chicken for weeks now, fountain machine hasn’t worked for ages, drink cooler just about empty, inside is dirty and dusty. Prices have doubled in the last 6 years and the wait seems to get longer every time I go despite time of day.Edit: went back today 3/22/24 was told they had spicy chicken back so I ordered it to go and paid, when I open the bag to eat lunch it was regular chicken. What am I tipping for?“
“The owners are so incredibly sweet and go above and beyond. My second time here and the food is fantastic. Great quality for the price. Very fresh ingredients and they make their kimchi themselves. It’s excellent! Lots of vegetarian options as well. Feels wonderful to support a small family run business.“
“It's hidden; walk into the office building and just beyond the stairs you take a left and then another left and you'll find a tiny yet remarkable little cafe! I love Kimbap and saw this was very close to my house so I decided to try and and I'm so glad I did! Delicious! The women working was super sweet and gave my kids some chips to free! She's fast and smiling can't get better than that. Highly recommend!“
