“Had the cod and it was delicious! Waitress was very sweet and checked twice to see that we had everything we wanted. Atmosphere was clean and typical for a small town - parking lot was full, but we just parked across the street. Our only complaint was that it was cold inside so we never took off our jackets. This is a small place, but well worth stopping in for a nice variety on the menu and good quality food.“

“Great , really great food and atmosphere. Mill City is Oregons last hidden gem and truly worthy of a visit. The Trio Tavern's food was like something from the past. What I mean to say is that I haven't seen or tasted meat so melt in your mouth, slooooowly cooked with SELECT WOOD. It's incredible that more eateries don't do this! Experience this roadhouse. I didn't get to see any bands but I heard that the live entertainment is great and will, for sure, come back.GREAT FOOD and super friendly . There was outdoor seating and lots of kids playing . Inside, there were friendly locals sitting around telling jokes and having lots of fun and laughter. There's lots of games and a pool table ,too.“

“Great place to fill up for the day with food that will stick with you through your days activities. We took a family of 7 here for breakfast and every day the food was delicious and served quick. Down home feel with regulars coming in that all know each other by name. Large portions cooked to perfection. My kids asked if we could eat here every day we were here and we were happy to say yes.Kid-friendliness: The owner took our order the first day and was very good with the kids knowing exactly what kinds of things kids ask or want. It was an great experience.“

“The bartender was extremely professional in customer service. I was impressed by the attention we got for newbies and will travel the 20 miles again to visit her and play some games and music maybe a cocktail or two. Shannon is an asset I would recommend her for any customer related jobs.“

“Four stars may actually be a tad bit generous (because I place a lot of emphasis on coffee quality) but small businesses like this need our support, particularly when they are the only coffee shop and bakery for miles around. The scones have stayed very consistent (through at least one ownership change) over probably 20 years, which is amazing for a place that's really out there in the boonies, but of course they get a lot of traffic traveling over the Cascades on Highway 22. As to the coffee it would only meet your standards if you're not too particular about your coffee, it's brewed kind of on the weak side. You might be better off trying an espresso drink, however on the day I visited last they were experiencing issues with their espresso machine.“
