“We had a great experience dining at Hattaways!We ordered the celery Parmesan salad, halibut cheeks and bread pudding. Everything was delicious. The space is really cool and has a great feel. The bar is beautiful. Everyone who worked there was attentive and so friendly. We dined for my Birthday, and they left a nice card on the table signed by the staff. Our only regret was that we didn’t come with bugger appetites. There were so many dishes we wanted to try. We can’t wait to come back next time we are in Walla Walla.“

And I gave the atmosphere five stars because it reminded me a lot of lunch counters from when I was younger.It's a small place, but well visited even on an early Saturday morning.Crowd tends to be a little bit older, but not all of them and it was a mixed crowd. Mostly working people.Good place to grab breakfast or lunch. The lunch menu really looks good and I plan on coming back later today for lunch. Since I have to come to Walla Walla for work on a fairly regular basis, this is going to be one of my staple places for breakfasts and maybe for lunch.I noticed that someone had posted a menu, but it only showed one side. “Best sandwiches ever. All fresh sliced when you order, not fresh before it went into a package! Their subs come in 2 sizes, half and full. I can eat, but 90% of the time I'm full after half.Vegetarian options: There are a couple avocado sandwiches. I got one for my vegetarian friend but had them hold the avocado. She loved it! And it wasn't too thin either, they really did a good job making that one.Parking: There are just a few diagonal parking slots in front of the building but parking continues down the block in front of the building next door. It doesn't seem to get too crowded since it's so close to the college it makes more sense to walk than drive“

My husband wasn't in agreement with me when I chose this place on yelp, but we were both glad that I was stubborn in my choice when we were finding where we would like to have brunch. The cocktails were creative and tasty, the food was way too good. We were just passing through Walla Walla, but we found ourselves planning our next meal here when we finished. ? The staff was nice and they have some nice little foodstuffs you can buy too. My husband got chilaquiles and I got shrimp and grits. It was super tasty.“

“We went to have breakfast this morning. I aways ordered there eggs Benedict it usually is very good. Today they were awful. I could only eat some if it. We told the person at the front desk and all she could say is I will tell the cook. I didn't get a sorry or anything. That breakfast was 17.99 and that's a lot and not be able to eat it. It will be a long time before I go back.“

“The only reason this is a 4 star and not a 5 star review is because my wife and I need to expand on this menu in order to give the place the rating it deserves. The pastires that we did have were amazing, fresh, full of flavor, and gone before we got 1/3 of the way home. I would definately recommend anyone in the area drop in for at least a pastry.“

“I had the pleasure of dining at Counterside Burgers and Fries last Tuesday and I must say, it was an absolute delight! Not only were the burgers and fries cooked to perfection, but the service was top-notch. The two workers who were there were the nicest people I have ever met! They greeted me with the warmest smiles and made me feel right at home.The atmosphere was whimsical and fun, looking out onto the beautiful downtown Walla Walla was honestly the best experience. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. “A nice bar but I felt it was overpriced.2 lunches - Rueben and 4 piece fish and chips plus 2 beers came to $59 plus tip.Peces are about $5-$7 higher than expected. $20 for a rueben sandwich is too high. The 4 piece fish and chips was a similar price.Service was okay. We were checked on a couple of times. I would look for another place on our next WW trip before coming back to Stone Hut.“
