Idiot's Grace Wines Wineries • $$
8450 US-30, Mosier

“Idiots Grace is a beautiful little winery hidden away in the Columbia Gorge on the eastern edge of Mosier, Oregon. My wife and I had the fortune of knowing someone who is a member of the Idiots Grace wine club and tagged along with them when they went to pickup a few bottles of wine. I'm a bit of a novice at wine tasting but I've never experienced anything like what's offered at Idiots Grace. We sat outside on a beautiful day in the shade while a wine steward brought us a sample of six wines ranging from white, rose to red. The steward described each wine in detail and mentioned a few other wines she thought we might like. Two of the wines I ended up buying (2020 Marssonne Roysanne & 2020 Dolcetta) came from grapes harvested after the 2020 Oregon wildfires which gave them a bit of a smokey flavor (which I loved). Idiots Grace is a hidden gem and I highly recommend giving it a try.“

Analemma Wines Winery • $$
1120 State Rd, Mosier

“The incredible wines (featured in The New York Times!) and biodynamic production are reason enough to love Analemma, but the people at the winery and the atmosphere they’ve thoughtfully curated, are equally worth celebrating. Wineries can sometimes feel impersonal and stiff, but Analemma has embraced a uniquely inviting, inclusive, and educational approach that allows everyone who visits to feel at home. The owners and their staff (including Lawna, Sarena, and Lilly) are kind, funny, and truly go the extra mile for customers. My husband and I are members, and some of our favorite times spent together have been at Analemma. We love to pick cherries in the summer, enjoy glasses of Albariño overlooking the view next to rows of lavender—and ordering the cheese plate is a must. Analemma is special to us, and we couldn’t recommend it enough.“

“We stopped at this vineyard on a tour from Portland to mt.hood and it was easily one of our favorites! Their lunch options were so good… charcuterie boards and different sandwiches. They had great views and alpacas in the field in the back! They accomadated our larger tour group so we could all sit together and chat which o thought was a very nice touch rather than us spreading out in our smaller groups.“

Evoke Winery - Hood River Winery •

“Great selection of wines, absolutely beautiful interior and view of the river. My only disappointment was the Frozé. Tasted like a cheap slushy rather than an actual frozen Rosé drink that cost 16$. The packaging was great tho! Super cool idea.“
