“Stopped by here on a Sunday evening for dinner. There was a large poker tournament going on in the back with a few patrons in the bar area either eating or playing games. Bartender was incredibly friendly and wanted to make sure we got our food orders in before the poker group did so we wouldn’t have to wait.Even though I felt the food and drinks came in a timely fashion the bartender still apologized repeatedly and thanked us for our patience. Will definitely return here just because of the great service.“
“My husband and I visited this past weekend and everything was amazing. The food was great, the bartender Jesse (hope I spelled that correctly lol) was BEYOND great, and the atmosphere was very calming and inviting. I can’t wait to visit again.“
“We always go to this Screen Door when we are in Portland. The staff are always a delight and this trip was no exception. Davi was charming and friendly and attentive, and all the staff were working hard (always so busy!) There was a teeny, tiny glitch with our order taking a while (we weren't concerned but the staff were so distraught that their efficient system had gone awry, lol!) We appreciated their gesture of discounting our ticket, but didn't think it was necessary. We were having such a good time with Davi and all the staff that the time passed quickly. The food was fantastic (always get the praline bacon!), the people watching superb, and the service stellar. We will be back again (and again and again!)“
“Innovative French cuisine in the style of Le Pigeon.Le Pigeon presents adventurous French-inspired cuisine, characterized by its unique creativity and originality. Enjoy a diverse selection of wines in the intimate setting of its East Burnside Street location in Portland.Their Chef's Tasting Menu promises a complete journey with nine courses, starting from amuse-bouche to petits fours. The dishes are visually appealing, almost like paintings on plates!I was impressed by the friendly and excellent full service, as well as the quality and flavors of the dishes.“
“I enjoyed the two egg and kielbasa combo, with a Mexican hot chocolate. It was all delicious, and they were willing to let me substitute breads with a fruit salad, which I greatly appreciated! It’s a cozy place, and can get a bit loud when crowded, but otherwise, a lovely place for a late morning breakfast.“
“If you are looking for excellent food and outstanding service, Mother’s is the place to go. I was visiting Portland this weekend and enjoyed the breakfast on Saturday so much that we went back before my flight home today (Sunday). Yesterday, Nick managed tricky orders with our larger group really well and was super friendly. Today, Emily went out of her way to provide excellent service and spread sunshine and kindness. On the food front, the French toast coated in corn flakes was delicious, and the cooks did a great job making crispy bacon that was not burnt. The friend I was visiting loved the tofu dish he had yesterday and also really enjoyed his oatmeal and bananas today. Our other friends were also very happy with their dishes yesterday….The place has a great vibe. I look forward to heading to Mother’s again on my next trip to Portland!“
“From start to finish our experience here was perfect. The staff are so friendly and focused you will never be without anything you need. The food is beyond delicious and the presentation is beautiful. They are able to but together flavors that you would never think would work, and then wonder why you haven't been eating these combos your entire life. I woke up still dreaming of the food. And as a bonus they are a women owned business.“
“Lovely venue, amazing food. Every single bite was unique. I typically approach food as fuel, but the same ingredients prepared by masterful hands and palates on a warm Portland evening are downright ethereal. Unparalleled. Go for the fixed course meal and wine pairings, and let them make the decisions. Dealbreaker: The focaccia and butter plate is like none I’ve experienced before. Best plate ever. Seriously. If you haven’t had butter or cheese with honey and fennel, it’s a must.“
“This neighborhood gem is always a pleasure to visit. The food was well prepared and delicious! There are plenty of options for vegetarians as well as omnivores. The portions are very generous. We love the ambiance and wonderful art. The servers are attentive, friendly and efficient. This is a favorite place to take friends and out of town guests.“
“I’ve been here 7 or 8 times, and I keep coming back. Food 5 stars, love the shareable idea and that the food changes but kinda stays the same. The non meat options are chef kisses. Servers 5 stars. Bathrooms 5 stars. Desserts 5 stars. Drinks 5 stars. What more can I say? If this restaurant ever were to struggle (it wouldn’t), I would single handedly do my best to keep it in business. I may have left a review before but can’t find it so here’s another. 10/10 highly recommended“
“Come here for the happy hour and stay for all the foods on the menu. Smoked mussel dish was to die for, Oysters are naturally delicious but the sauces here are amazing especially that green fish sauce, I’d bottle that and sell that immediately! Server was amazing and wish I knew their name so I can shout them out. I didn’t order it but $90 for a tasting per person is just too inexpensive for that quality and amazingly tasty dishes. Just want another shout out for the mussel dish on there March 18th menu. Dish will always be in my mind.“
“One of favorite breweries. A hidden jewel of the Portland beer scene. High quality beer in a wide variety of traditional styles and some innovations. Chill and friendly vibe. Dog friendly. Worth going off the beaten path to have a pint or two.“
“Stopped for a quick lunch. Will do it again. Order at the counter and find a seat. Didn't wait long for our food. Delicious sandwiches. The tables and decor are still a work in progressThey seem to have a significant take-out businessParking: Smallish parking lot on the east side of the building“
“Great customer service...the staff were so friendly. The mini donuts were fresh and tasty . The bacon flavor was my favorite...the sweet and salty combo just did it for me :). The were good as well. The golden chai was prob my favorite. I would've like the chai a bit stronger Good ambiance and comfy seating.“
“I think you need to know what to expect coming here. Their cheese selection and meat selections are amazing. There was a lack of substantial main courses on the menu, it felt like more sharing-snack type food. But the environment is great! A great place to gather, have a drink and a snack before going out.“
“I come yearly for training and tend to find a new place to eat everyday. This place after one visit I knew would be in my future visits. I had based off of prior reviews as a deciding factor for chosing this place. This is my 3rd time coming to Portland and let me say, this is the only restaurant I have decided to visit twice as the food is really that good, especially if you are a seafood person. The ciopinno will not let you down.“
“We made a reservation for our party of 4 for brunch and were seated on time. Our server was super friendly and nice. The restaurant was cute. But we would not return here. The breakfasts we ordered were all just ok. My sister had Migas Tart (vegetarian quiche) with potatoes as a side. I ordered random sides as there was no option for someone who is dairy free. My mom ordered mushroom and butternut scramble. The potatoes were over fried and my biscuit was over baked. Nothing special at all about any of the foods we ordered. We were excited to try it and were disappointed. Even if the ambience is good and the server was excellent, if the food isn’t good enough, we don’t return.“
“Great and fresh burrito. The way they cooked the tortilla was outstanding, I absolutely loved a grilled tortilla the way they did it.The burrito I got was veggie, and had pickled onions and other fresh ingredients and was delicious, one of the freshest tasting burritos I've had.The drink was jamaica hibiscus and wasn't too sweet, which is great, I hate when places just add tons of sugar to drinks.Would have rather had horchata, but the option wasn't available on the app I ordered from. The sauces were something special, the avocado was airy almost like a whipped sauce. The habanero was spicy and sorta sweet. Both delicious.Overall easy 5 star.“
“Great low-key atmosphere, rain or shine! Family and dog friendly. Tons of outdoor seating, dozens of brews on tap, and several food truck options. We opted for brews and 1/4 slices of Ranch Pizza's pepperoni pizza and breadsticks. Everything hit the spot, staff were kind and helpful, and on a Friday night there was live music on the patio. We'll certainly be back!“
“We so love The Underground. The steaks are as good as the Ringside's and the sides are better. And they usually have good jazz; the last two times Tom Grant played. Service too is excellent: prompt and knowledgeable servers. It's just great. Close to ClackMa Town Center.“
“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.“
“Went here for lunch. Their burgers are very good and the French fries are amazing!. Also have had breakfast here. If you like traditional eggs bacon and potatoes, you will be happy. If you like pancakes, make sure you are hungry because you won't believe how big they are. And very delicious.“
“Super cool snack store with some very interesting and creative sundaes ? it’s a perfect dessert place after a meal at nearby restaurants or bars.We got the cheese and crack sundaes with a marshmallow on top. Super good and we can barely finish it ?“
“Came here around 1pm on a Saturday and were able to get seated right away. The place is very cute with live plants decor and has a number of healthy food options! I got the vegan bowl with sweet potatoes and loved it! If you aren’t vegan adding an egg to it will also taste amazing! Highly recommend, will be “
“The customer service here is above and beyond ? I originally was seated at the window bar where the chairs don’t have backs - and I am 7 months pregnant so I was a little uncomfortable (normally I wouldn’t care). I asked the waiter if I could move to the other bar where the chairs do have backs if a spot opened up and he immediately said “oh my goodness no you can take a booth” and helped me bring my stuff to a booth in the back that was very comfortable. He made me feel so welcome and he was so cheery the entire time. This little gesture made my day.The food is great and my cappuccino even came out sparkling ✨!!“
“Otto and Anita’s > GustavsHands down amazing. Said the red wine caper sauce was still cooking (they cook the sauces, enough said) and wasn’t available. To my surprise it wound up on my plate :) amazing spatzle + meatGood selection of import beers too“
“Even on a rainy day in PacNW this place is warm with the heart. Most times I go to a breakfast or brunch spot, the Benedict is the real test of ingredients, timing, service and experience. I love sitting at the bar so that made it zero wait. I would have waited! Bartender was helpful and friendly. Hosted was personable. Combo of potato cakes and biscuits and cheesy grits - yum! Some of the best avocado. Prices are not cheap but well worth it. Next time is French toast, with whatever they call the combo.“
“The jojos I've been dreaming of! The fried chicken sandwich was also amazing, though i might do it without the slaw next time, just a personal thing. I'll be back! The fried chicken dinner sounded good and the desserts looked great!“
“This is a lovely setting in Lake Oswego.Service is outstanding and atmosphere is very relaxing. We could have stayed there tasting wine for hours. Josh our waiter was very nice and took time explaining all the different wines and their unique characteristics. They had a red wine tasting offered. But when he heard I only drink white, he made me my own special white wine tasting. I am an owner, but I'm sure they give this outstanding service to everyone.Parking: This is in a mall by Whole Foods on State StreetSo“
“We came here a couple hours before closing on 4/3 and sat in the back room. We had come in to celebrate my birthday after leaving a different restaurant that ended up being a nightmare. The Observatory saved the evening! The service and food were fantastic, and our server made excellent recommendations. We ordered the cheese platter to share, I got the strip steak and my fiance had the Mac and cheese with andouille. We are moving to the area soon, and we will definitely become regulars ?“
“I find this place to very Portlandish. The vibe is that of Portland to me. The food is okay, the service is good. The view is very nice, you can see west hills from your seat. It is a large place, it can take many people. It’s on the 4th floor of the building and a bit difficult to find. I will return and try something more.“
“My wife and I had a fantastic brunch at Ovation. Try the Bloody Mary - delicious! I had the Eggs Benedict and my wife had the Pancakes. Both were expertly prepared. Romano has created a cute comfortable café experience where he treats his guests like family. We enjoyed the great meal and the experience and we'll definitely be back.“
“I absolutely love the decor of The Slide Inn, it really feels like I have stepped into an entire different country when i walk in. The food AND drinks are always a win, and they have great vegan and gluten free offerings, as well! The pita and hummus plate is the best I've ever had. ?Dietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“
“PDX restaurants usually have atmosphere OR excellent food, Sapphire Hotel has both! The decor is cute. They played good music. The full cheese board was our favorite part. One of the few restaurants worth the cost of eating out in Portland.“
“DING DONG we have a five star Champion! Cozy, stylish hotel bar with welcoming staff and delicious cocktails. Carmen, the bartender greeted us with a friendly smile every night during our extended stay. Coming back after dinner and enjoy a night-cap at the Driftwood made our day(s). The hotel itself is nice, but this cozy bar is the cherry on top! Thank you for your hospitality“
“This is the BEST biscuit and gravy spot in portland and that should mean something. The portions are very appetite friendly meaning, you’ll get plenty for your dollar. I go out of my way for the biscuits and gravy. The bacon is thick and the pancakes are big and fluffy.I’d order this again and I have quite a few time and have driven from Beaverton to this joint just for the biscuits and gravy.“
“We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and what a treat! Our server was phenomenal and helped us make great choices for amazing food + wine pairings. The chef also accommodated my food allergies with ease. Highly recommend! We plan to return very soon.“
“I absolutely love My Vice. I live around the corner and have been in a few dozen times over the last year or so. Great little covered and heated patio to sit with my dog. The staff are always very friendly and super attentive. They usually come out with a dog treat and a bowl of water before I get seated. Then it's bloody Mary time. The food is always spot on. The breakfast dumplings are no joke and I don't know what it is about their beef but it's top notch. They've been doing dinner service on Fridays for a while now and the menu is awesome.Vegetarian options: They usually have a variety of vegetarian optionsParking: Parking lot on the side of building holds about 8 to ten vehicles“
“Small wait was worth it. Homestyle delicious food. They truly know how to make a good egg. Tyler is an excellent waiter to top it off. Both times we left full plus leftovers. We're going back!Next time I might have to have one of those humongous hollandaise covered omelettes! The biscuits and gravy are delicious. They have lunch and other things too.“
“I mean wow, so good. So incredibly good! I didn't realize that Plumb is the kitchen located inside of the bar (Deadshot). It was my first time experiencing something like this (maybe I need to get out more) and it was incredible. The food is made to order so patience is key but luckily theres an amazing bar with handcrafted cocktails to enjoy while you wait. We arrived right at 4pm on Saturday evening and were promptly greeted and seated. We opted for a seat right at the bar. I ordered a red wine and my husband ordered a Deadshot. Then we placed our food order. We ordered the cesar salad, grilled cabbage, burger and steak frites and everything was so incredibly good. Fresh, decadent, perfectly cooked and ever so tasty. Of the items we tried, the cabbage dish was our favorite. I've never had cabbage with bechamel, apples and hazelnuts. It was simply divine! Highly recommend checking this place out!“
“The Hot Chicken was very hot. Fried to perfection with house made pickles and fried bread. The fries were even better than they looked with a light seasoning on them. The Kool-Aid soft serve was Pina Pineapple and it was the right finish to the meal.“
“Without a doubt one of the best sandwich joints in Portland. Absolutely everything made here is created with a passion for delicious food, and you can certainly tell when you taste it. From the smoked chicken wings, to the burgers, to the properly layered and piled high nachos, you will not be disappointed with anything you get on the menu. Pair anything with their extensive liquor selection and great tap list, along with amazing cocktails they make in house. I feel like when I’m inside, it’s like I’m back in my grandparents basement. It’s cozy and has a great feeling. Patio is great for the summertime. I can’t recommend this place enough.“
“The vibe and cocktails are the great, the staff, especially E.J. We’re really on point. My cocktail, the pear hot toddy was amazing, and perfect for a cold rainy afternoon. The only shortfall was the food. Skip the spaghetti and go with the Harissa chicken instead.“
“The most smashed smash burger I've had in Portland. Sure Shot serves incredibly well-seasoned patties in your classic smash burger from factor—it's exactly what I want executed at the highest level. You can't go wrong with the classic, but their specials are also always delicious.“
“Finding Zeno's Fusion was a happy accident after a long night at work. Driving up 99 and spotting the open sign was a small sign of fate I'm glad I followed.Zeno's Fusion is a standout spot. The menu isn't just varied; it's thoughtfully put together. Behind each item, there’s a story that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. It’s clear a lot of care goes into the selection of ingredients and cooking methods.I've visited several times since that first night. The Kebabs and Dolmas quickly became my go-tos, each visit reaffirming my love for their flavors. And the Bison Burger? It’s a must-try. Each dish not only tastes great but feels like it's made with attention and care.I wholeheartedly recommend Zeno's Fusion. It's more than just eating out; it’s discovering flavors that are both familiar and new, all served up in a welcoming atmosphere. If you find yourself nearby, don't hesitate to give it a try.“
“The cocktails and food are definitely worth the journey, but it’s the atmosphere and attention to detail that make Bellwether shine. Has the feel of a French-inspired saloon at the turn of the last century,or something straight out of Paris itself.“
“The first time I came here with my ex, and it was great. I've been here since, and still great. So who doesn't love consistency? There's something soothing about a bar with great food, good atmosphere and a sense of purpose that I couldn't find in my previous relationship...“
“Great atmosphere, great service. We had great bartenders. Great food.Vegetarian options: A good selection of vegetarian and vegan options.Dietary restrictions: gluten free optionsParking: a few parking spots in the parking lot, several spaces that are close on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: wheelchair ramp, designated parking, tables available for wheelchairs.“
“I had the best crepes of my life from The Crepe Bear! Both the forager and the teddy bear were so amazing. Their crepes are light and flavorful and the filling options were all so unique, it was hard to choose which crepe to get! The Crepe Bear made crepes at event I was organizing and everyone at the event loved the crepes they ordered. Days later, I’m still thinking about their crepes and I can’t wait to go back!“
“Cynthia is amazing at her job, yet a bartender who takes no guff. Despite her “resting bar face” - when she smiles at you? It is genuine and makes one feel truly seen. The food is unlike any hole-in-the-wall bar you will visit. Who doesn’t want breakfast all day?? More people should frequent this Oak Grove hidden gem“
