“Delicious! The gentleman at a neighboring table gave the fish tacos a 10, and we agreed! We had chowder, fish and chips, loaded fries, with berry shortcake for dessert. Everything was amazing, with a spectacular view of the ocean thrown in. If you get to visit this tiny town, don't miss the Blue Agate Cafe. ?“

“This gem came up through my work booking program and I’m so glad I got to spend my last night of work at this amazing location. There was no cell signal but the Wi-Fi worked fine to make calls and connect to my computer. The views from my room were amazing! The cafe across the street also highly recommended. I can’t wait to go back with my wife someday to explore Oceanside and will plan to stay here on my next trip.“

“The batter was so light, airy and crispy, while the fish (I had cod) was juicy and flaky. Price point was great. One of the best fish and chips places I've been. Hands down would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who likes fish and chips. Delish!!!“

“At first I was suspicious about all reviews being all 5 stars.Then I got inside. Ok, quaint place, looks genuine, friendly staff.Then I put my order in, ask for a coffee, get a mug (warmed up on top of the espresso machine) and get to my table.Sip the coffe, wow that’s excellent. Ok, so far so good.My order arrives. I got ling cod on black lentils, beets, and some vegetable that I can’t remember. My wife got roasted veggies and quinoa. Both plates are presented excellently, fine dining level. I can’t believe my eyes.The cod is perfectly pan roasted, a delicate and yet crunchy outside and perfectly cooked inside, not dry, not too wet. I wish I could cook cod like this. The lentils are delicious, the beets too, and the non specified vegetable looked like a tiny cabbage and tasted divine. A generous portion but not too much. I still can’t believe what a gem of a place this is.“

We are from out of state but will go again next time in town. Be sure and stop by the retail outlet next door for great prices on their fresh jerky.“

“I came here with my dog to work on a few things. We had the whole patio to ourselves! There were several customers inside - it was probably too cold for them. But I'm from Wisconsin so it was fantastic for me. I tried 3 different beers. Unfortunately I didn't love any of them; they were all just OK. but I really liked the space and the woman working was very knowledgeable.“

“Great people and service.Dietary restrictions: They have options to substitute dairy.Parking: Line moves quickly when busy, the times I have been here. A few spots to park and order at window but I always use the drive thru.Kid-friendliness: Kid drinks are great.“

“Customer service! I forgot my purse at the restaurant and didn’t realize until we were 2 hours away. Not only did the staff keep my purse safe but they sent us home with some of their delicious chowder for our long drive home. Also the food (fish and chips) we had eaten at lunch was wonderful! “Overall, food was great and I enjoyed it. I had the captain's platter with tater tots. The cod and scallops were juicy and lightly breaded with great flavor. Clams had good seasoning and interesting breading and texture (not sure if that's typical). I'm not a fan of coconut shrimp, but it was made well if you like sweetness with the shrimp. Tater tots were crispy also. Server checked on our drinks and made sure everything was alright so great customer service.“
