This Case Study on Alberta is another hit in terms of design and their baristas talent amongst the other locations they have within Portland. The decor of this Case Study is amazing, making it a relaxing and calming environment to read a book in and enjoy your espresso.Everytime I've gotten a drink here it has been delicious, the baristas do a great job! I enjoy coming here whenever I can to enjoy a drink, with indoor seating both on a ground floor and some seating above the ground floor. There is also outdoor seating which is great for those beautiful Portland, sunny days. Highly recommend a stop here!

Came by on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30 pm and ordered a cappuccino. It was terrible. No latte art and half of it was thick foam. It tasted strange like burnt milk and burnt coffee. All around the coffee rim were spatters of coffee grit too. Super low quality and unprofessional service. The barista who made it must have been feeling very sad and uninspired today. Zero effort. It was probably the worst cup of coffee I've ever had in Portland. I've been here before during the week and they've been usually okay. Also the toilets were extremely dirty, like a trucker's bathroom. Whoever is running this place needs to up their standards a bit or you'll soon be out of business.

Case Study's coffee is good with the right staff. In the mornings they are usually on point and I enjoy it. I came on Sunday afternoon, the barista was a lady of shorter stature with tattoos, my wife went to the bathroom while she made us both cappuccinos.When the cappuccinos were ready I noted that the milk was extremely burnt and the milk was frothed to a whipping level, and the coffee had lots of grit not very professional. It indicates lack of care for customers, quality was worse than Starbucks . I recommend you do not come while she is working. Also the bathroom was filthy today, seemed like it was not cleaned all day. I am long time goer of Case Study, so sad to see the quality dropping.

This was overall an okay shop. It got very high reviews online so I was excited to try it out but it felt subpar for me personally. Not sure if I'm missing anything here. The cappuccino that others raved about was good but not out of this world great like others say. Other reviews have said the baristas were very nice and friendly but the one I ran into today seemed to be a bit offputting, prioritizing finishing her conversation with the other barista while I stood there for a while before turning towards me. It didn't make for a bad experience but did feel the tiniest bit unwelcoming.
