The restaurant was a standout during a vegan eating extravaganza, with delicious tacos and quesadillas that left a lasting impression. The tacos, including tinga, chorizo con papas, campana, suadero, and mushrooms, were all good, but the suadero and mushroom stood out as the best. The quesadilla trio was also a winner, with soft and melty cheese that impressed even non-vegan diners. While the esquites fell a bit short in flavor, the overall quality and inventiveness of the food made Chilango a highlight of the PNW food tour. With friendly and prompt service, this spot offers a great value, making it a must-visit for any vegan or plant-based food lover passing through Portland.
