El Brasero Reviews
Definitely not worth it. $16 for a pastor burrito is too much, especially when it’s half iceberg lettuce inside. I won’t be eating here again.
IMPORTANT: Brasero does not have a direct line to make an order for pick up. You must come in person to place order. Confirmed with Brasero today this information. Happy delicious eating!!
I was waiting for food from another cart and decided to try one of their chorizo street tacos. It was absolutely the best taco I have had in Portland.

El Brasero is a Mexican restaurant in Portland with a cozy outdoor seating area. The Al Pastor tacos are highly recommended, and the staff is patient and generous, even giving extra tacos for waiting. The tortas are delicious with warm, soft bread and flavorful meat. The salsa has the perfect level of spiciness. The asada burrito and carnitas quesadilla are both tasty and well-balanced, not overly greasy. The friendly service includes small gestures like giving candy to kids. Customers often praise the quality of the tacos, especially the Al Pastor, which has a nice blend of tangy, zesty, hot, and spicy flavors. The burritos are known for being massive and tasty, though prices have increased over time, making some feel it's a bit pricey. Veggie options are available and crafted to be delicious, not just a substitution. Overall, El Brasero remains a solid choice for flavorful Mexican food in a welcoming environment.
