This place is still the same after 25 years or more when I was first living in Portland. Economic slices, fast service and the pizza is good. Fun to sit by the window and watch the people walk by. My daughter said she could sit there for hours since you have a front row seat for people watching.
While on our way to work, we decided to stop for lunch since most food carts and restaurants were closed. Hotlips on Hawthorne was open and the pizzas were wonderful! I always have to eat gluten free and their gluten free crust was the better than most GF crusts. They are a family business and we love to support family businesses!

Love the pizza although it is a style which is really floppy so if you like tip this isn't it. The ingredients are great, the prices are great, and the slices are huge. This, in my opinion, is better than Pizza Schmitza (which is also pretty good in its own right). I am not a veggie or vegan pizza guy but they make some mean ones. Check this place out.
