“I will have to give them a second chance. I didn't want to eat chicken, but their dishes looked good, I asked if I could swap out the chicken for prawns, the cashier suggested an option, but what I got was only rice and prawns. Disappointing.“
“We just had an early dinner here and it may be my fav new ramen place! The food is delicious and the biggest bonus for me is that they have a gluten free option for noodles that is actually delish. They have great cocktails, a wide variety of Japanese spirits, and great non-alcoholic options. The only negative is that they were out of coloring sheets for my 4 year old, but they did have crayons and we made it work with some paper from our car. We ordered some take out for my husband and it was packaged neatly in very practical and reusable containers. The interior is well decorated and it’s a great atmosphere. We really enjoyed our experience!!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free noodles and options, and all of their dishes are clearly labeled with other allergens.“
“Went here for the first time this week and it was AMAZING. We came in during a week day later in the night and we practically had the place to ourselves, our waiter Karra had superb service. The food was delicious to say the least and the menu had a good variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was also great, very calm, dim, and somewhere you can get lost talking while eating for hours. We ordered veggie ramen, hello kitty (must try), and miso soup!“
“The place is one of the best sushi spots in the area. Huge sake barrels from above really enhanced the atmosphere. Service was amazing compared to other restaurants.Sushi was incredible, fresh, and presented well. The flavor was amazing, and everything complimented each other nicely.Parking: Parking around the area was decent since you had to park on the surrounding streetsKid-friendliness: There are some choices on the menu that kids will enjoy, and the environment is very kid-friendly“
“The food was pretty good. I had the garlic tonkatsu ramen which was very rich. My husband had the karage bento bowl and he said it was pretty good. The only issue we had was with the service. I think they only had 1 person working the dining room so it took a long time for us to put in our order. She also got my order mixed up with another table's so there was a lot of back and forth in the process. She was very nice and apologetic though. So I'd recommend this restaurant but only if you're not in a hurry, or go outside of the normal meal times.“
“We like our sushi rolls, salmon, seaweed salad, and miso soup. We would probably pass on ordering the calamari again (just too much crunchy breading to calamari meat ratio). Service was good and very friendly, but water and iced tea were not refilled. We would return again as food and friendly service were good.“
“Quality has declined over the years. I'm still a fan but am actively looking for a replacement. It's not a good sign when the bar staff talk negatively about the kitchen service/quality for the night. Why would I want to hear about the new cook dishing out dry and bland food as I wait for my meal? I almost canceled and walked after hearing this. I probably should've.“
“Delicious food! I tried multiple dishes, and every single one of them was so good! The rice bowls and ramen are a great price and will definitely fill you up! The small plates are also great appetizers such as the gyoza, which was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is very nice as well it has a great ambiance. Also the service was super quick! We got our food within 5 minutes of ordering and they were so fresh and so good!“
“We love this place because they have excellent ramen and fun Japanese style seating areas, but the service is always so slow. We've been here at least a dozen times over the past two years for either early dinner (4:30 or 5p), or regular time dinner (6 or 7p), and every single time the wait staff service is ridiculously slow at all the interactions: coming to our table to greet us, bringing water, coming to take our order, checking on us during the meal (never), clearing plates, bringing the bill.We would probably spend a lot more money here if the wait person would check on us during our meal or even ask if we wanted dessert. If you have lots of time, I highly recommend this place for their ramen.“
“Best Izakaya in Portland. I have been coming to this place for years. A small restaurant with friendly service and authentic, delicious food. I recommend sitting at the bar and ordering a couple items at a time while you enjoy some sake or a Kirin. The sake selection is very well curated. The ramen is fantastic, with house made noodles. If you want to try something unique get the salmon broth ramen, it’s incredible. Servings are quite large as well!I adore all their hot offerings, and the hand rolls are great. Not a huge selection of sushi, because it’s not really a sushi restaurant, it’s an izakaya. Please understand they have had to reduce hours and menu since the pandemic, struggling like many other local businesses. Hope to see them return to the full menu soon, so please support this Division Street staple. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: I really enjoy their vegetarian sushi options.“
