Cute restaurant and bakery in a repurposed house. Had a lovely brunch with friends on a Sunday. I had a waffle, which was good but not exciting. My companions all had different egg-based dishes and were all ecstatic with their choices.Service was friendly and helpfulOn street parking only

I was fine paying $6 for a loaded brownie because it was made in a bakery but felt let down when my $6 brownie was DRY and crumbly. The staff was polite and the place was clean but for $6 you could get more moist brownies out of a box from the store.

Lots of good things to say about this great place, but I'll focus on one. Quiche. Most places that serve quiche are essentially serving frittatas with a crust. Quiche is meant to have a custard texture with the ingredients layered on top of the egg, not blended throughout -- and all within a buttery pie crust. A good quiche is heaven, and so hard to find. Mehri's Cafe and Bakery does quiche right, and that's a rare treat.

Nice people, cute little place. My biscuits and gravy breakfast was good and hot. Eggs were overcooked and black. Gravy was alright, biscuit was really good. So was the bacon and the creamy potatoes which are just scalloped potatoes if you were curious. My friend got the 4 cheese Scramble which wasn't very good or appealing. She also liked the potatoes but they gave her the butts of the toast so she didn't eat any of it. I got a clubhouse to go for my husband with a salad and it was very good. We may go back, it was pretty spendy though.

We drove here especially because of the Facebook reviews. Wasn’t disappointed. Best breakfast ever! And the service was exceptional. The man doing all the seating and hosting was so friendly and even though he was super busy always had a smile. Will definitely be back soon.

Wholesome neighborhood cafe and bakery. The owners are just as sweet as the pastries they serve! The cafe is inviting and vintage. I had the orange pecan scone - it was fluffy, warm, and served with melted butter on top! Will definitely be coming back to try breakfast and lunch specials.Prices are decent $5 for a coffee and $5-10 per pastry. Parking is a bit challenging so I recommend walking up and visiting.Kid-friendliness: Very kid and family friendly!

It may look like your average neighborhood cafe and bakery and Mehri's is anything but! A neighborhood gem indeed. Don't judge a house by its color. My mom told me about this place many years ago and raved about all the deserts. After looking at reviews and reading the news paper article I was more intrigued. We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma. The pastrie case was definitely eye candy. The restaurant was filling up quickly (it was almost 12:00 pm) and we managed to snag a table.Anthony (the son of Mehri's was incredibly helpful and accommodating) I had such a hard time deciding and he recommended the country breakfast that I turned into a country benedict ? I also tried a half order of the croissant french toast and mom got the breakfast sandwich.*Bacon on point 10/10We even got to meet the owner and it was a pleasure, I am looking forward to going back to this quaint and cozy cafe and bakery.Kid-friendliness: Very family oriented.

The baker, I'm assuming is Mehri herself (didn't catch her name) was very nice at first. I came in to inquire about wedding cake samples and she explained how I could place the order and choose the samples I wanted to try. Called her the next day to place the order, I asked for 5 samples, she quoted me $25. No problem. Pick up was a Wednesday at 2pm. When the pick up time came, I wasn't available to make it by 2pm so I sent my dad. He walked in, said who he was picking up for, and in a nasty attitude she responded with, "she couldn't pick them up herself?!" Obviously not. She should be thankful that I still arranged a pick up without inconveniencing her and still paid what was agreed on. The cake samples were decent, I actually enjoyed the Milky Way chocolate and the strawberry shortcake cupcake but I won't be ordering anything else when she speaks to her customers (who are trying to pay you potentially hundreds for a wedding cake) so rude.

Ordered a breakfast sandwich to go and was excited to try it. Turned out to be an egg scramble with bacon eggs and cheese put on untoasted french bread. Cheese fairly non existent. I put it in the toaster oven which helped slightly. But it was still super dry without any butter or condiments. Not very good. Probably just go elsewhere next time. Never had a breakfast sandwich with untoasted dry bread before.

I wholeheartedly love any Benedict, especially the Florentine with spinach and tomato. You can get wholesome sides to soften the blow! Homemade dressings & jams are amazing. There are Lamb specials sometimes as Mehri, being Persian, loves to cook classic recipes that celebrate her heritage. Call ahead to see what day for those specials. Souvlaki to die for.Big windows provide a nice open atmosphere. I fall prey to the sour cherry danish to tide me over if it's slammed for weekend brunch. Their fantastic local coffee brewed property is constantly flowing. Worth waiting for a table if there is a line for certain!

Came in after reading review in the Oregonian and had to try this place- it is AMAZING. You won’t be disappointed! Everything is freshly homemade down to the bread. I had the huevos rancheros and it was a large serving/ took half home for second breakfast. I bought a Strawberry Rhubarb pie to take home and it was so delicious and the crust was just like my grandma’s!
