Absolutely amazing. Was able to avoid allergies and still have a great dessert.

My family and I had dinner in the area and wanted to find some place nearby for dessert. Memoz came up on my Yelp search, which was funny because this was the 2nd time it came up on a search in the same day. I took this as a sign that I needed to try out the place. We arrived at Memoz around 6pm on a Wednesday. Thank goodness we were the only customers at the time, because I felt like we were treading on new territory. It took a long time for each of us to deliberate on what to get. I've never seen a place like Memoz especially where I am from, so the build-your-own baked dessert was a totally new concept for me. It also didn't help that everything looked amazing. There's a 3 step process to customizing your dessert. You start off with a base, which can be a cookie, brownie, crumb cake, tartlet, etc. Then you choose whatever mix-in(s) you want. Lastly, you can pick out a finisher such as a baked Alaska (Italian meringue with ice cream), frosting, a la mode, etc. What's great is that it takes less than 2 minutes for the desserts to finish baking. So do you see my predicament here? The choices were endless, but I suppose you can't go wrong with any combination. I settled on the almond tartlet base with pears, ginger, white chocolate and the cream cheese frosting finisher. I was pretty satisfied with the dessert, but it could've used some improvement too. It was the perfect size, and I loved the taste and texture of the buttery almond tartlet. I did find that the mix-ins weren't evenly weighted though. I only tasted the candied pears; I got neither of the ginger flavor nor white chocolate whips. It still tasted great overall nonetheless.Lastly, I want to note that customer service was excellent. We were greeted by a woman, who may possibly have been the owner. She was really helpful in explaining the lay of the land and how their menu worked. I appreciated her patience with us, because we were all indecisive.

One the best cookies I've ever had, and it was shipped to me 175 miles away. I can only imagine how good it would have been fresh out of the oven! If you like dessert, then Memoz should be on your list of restaurants to make it to. Can't wait to go there in person next time I am in Portland!

A group of us came here for dessert for the first time since we were craving something sweet! I like the concept of building your own dessert, but it was easier for us to just choose a signature dish since it could get pricey with a bunch of add ons. A small cookie or brownie could go for $6-10. Personally I don't think it was that worth it, especially since we waited 30 minutes for a dessert that we finished in less than 5. The staff was super friendly and which is why this review is 4 stars! The deserts were good since they were baked fresh, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall experience would be a 3.5/5, but I'm glad I finally got to try this place out!

A great spot for dessert! It's definitely different from all the other places you can get dessert from in Portland... This spot lets you build-your-own DREAM dessert! So, you can chose between a brownie or cookie dough, and then add your mix-in's - they have sour patch kids, caramel bits, hazelnut nut and so many more goodies to mix into your dessert, and you can chose what kind of topping you want as well - ice cream, frosting or their baked alaska!I got a brownie with a mix in of macadamia nuts and caramel bits, and I topped it off with the Baked Alaska! It took 25 mins for my order to come out, but it's definitely super good. Honestly perfect if you have a sweet tooth or love warm baked goods! I really wanted a cup of Milk with my dessert though, since it was pretty sweet. The Baked Alaska was so good. It wasn't too sweet, but it did have a soft pillowy texture - similar to a marshmallow.

Walked in 4 minutes before they closed and after apologizing profusely, Julie greeted me as though they were just opening. Since it was my first time there, she walked me through each step and offered her opinions. I left 5 minutes later with a delicious treat that absolutely hit the spot. The customer service and quality of the food is amazing. Will definitely be back when I'm in town next.

This is a great place for dessert. It is delicious and unique. There is something for everyone who likes dessert (and if your friends don't like dessert, find new friends and go here with them). Can't wait to go back and try another option. I feel like the options are endless and it would never get tiring to go here.
