Booked the banquet room to do a buffet style lunch for my mother's celebration of life after her funeral and it was awesome! The owner was accommodating and the food was fire! White people that worked with my mom were even going back for seconds and thirds The ribs, greens and mac n cheese were my favs! The food was hot and delicious and I'll be back wit a date or even by myself just to sample more off the menu on a regular business night
A little slow on the service however everything seems to be made to order. I had the crawfish étouffée a little salty but really good. Only one desert available. I went with a friend and I was glad to have some southern cooking. Service was a little slow because they were very busy and only one waitstaff. Sweetness was very nice and took care of us. The owner which is the cook came out and served our food. Compliments to this place. I will come back. If they ever bring a crawfish...read full review

This restaurant is the bomb dot com! Such delicious soul food and a great staple for NE 42nd Avenue. I highly recommend everyone eats here! They have the best collard greens I have ever had and I have enjoyed every dish I've tried from them. Rockfish, steak, chicken, Mac and cheese, cheesy grits, oxtails, the list goes on.They do brunch on Sundays, don't sleep on it!
