Stopped in while visiting Portland and was so impressed. Firstly the ambiance is wonderful and evocative and the service is great! We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and once we were seated, waitstaff checked in frequently to make sure everything was going well. We're fans of Wajan (the sister restaurant) and the owner. The attention to detail, from the beautiful interior to drinking cups has carried over. We sampled most of the small dish menu and the Lemper Ayum was our favorite. The Bala Bala popped with flavor, but was very greasy. The Martabak and Risol Sayur about average.
