“El servicio excelente y la comida súper sabrosa y hecha con mucho cariño. Hoy probé Causa Acevichada, Lomo Saltado, Tallarines Verdes, Tacu-Tacu, Antichos y Picarones. Todo súper recomendado!!! Definitivamente vamos a regresar por más!“
“Omg so good! We got the lomo sandwiches and agreed it was the best sandwich either of us had eaten in a looong time. The flavor was so satisfying and delicious. The bread was also a surprisingly perfect choice, grilled to perfection. We were so happy!“
“We have been coming to El Inka for about 15 years, since they were located in Gresham. They have since moved to SE Division. Their Pollo El Inka (Chicken of the Inkas?) is amazing, i would recommend it anytime. Their yellow sauce and fries also taste delicious. This is a great and authentic Peruvian restaurant. We love it!“
“The seco norteno is just delicious. Whatever they do to their red onions makes them possibly the most divine red onions I have ever had. Arroz con pollo is similarly fantastic. The potatoes that come with it are 10/10. We will absolutely be back many times.“
“So Jarana is actually the kitchen inside of the bar, Lulu. It was a bit confusing when we first walked by and were trying to figure out where it was. We ordered the saltado with steak and the ceviche as well. The steak was soooo tender. The sauce had good umami flavor. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Rice had such a good seasoned flavor. I will think about this dish for a while. The ceviche was also really good. I loved the mango and passion fruit to add sweetness. I didn't expect fried fish and fish chicharrones. So yummy. It might be a bit pricey, but the food is SO good!“
“Had to flag a waiter down multiple times to order drinks then food then another drink and finally bill. Each time I had to wave my hand and call out loudly Excuse me, as waiters walked by avoiding eye contact with at least our corner of the bar. Food was good.“
“This Peruvian food cart was amazing I love ceviche and they had so many different kinds we tried three different styles ceviche, ceviche carretillero and ceviche mixto for sure a 10/10 service very friendly also their lomo saltado was a really good beef dish for drinks we tried this passion fruit juice very pleased and looking to go back.“
“Absolutely amazing Peruvian restaurant located in a strip with a few other excellent, casual restaurants. Even though the atmosphere says casual, the food is much better quality than I expected, even with the great reviews. I ordered the steak with onions, peppers, and fries. The meat was incredibly tender and the sauce was perfectly balanced. At first I thought the fries would just be nonsense, but they soak up the juices and are an integral part of the dish. My wife ordered a seafood soup that reminded us both of a mild Cioppino. I will most definitely be back.“
“Very cozy restaurant. I have never had peruvian food but really wanted to try it. I got the Aji de Gallina and the passion fruit juice. They were so tasty and well prepared! Super friendly staff and very quick service. My food came with some bread and sauces/salsa, the green sauce was phenomenal!“
“I traveled to Portland for the first time and this is my best dining experience in Portland (besides Salt & Straw ice cream)! We arrived 10 minutes before our initial reservation and had to wait 11 minutes for our table (which was fine). We asked for the menu twice but it took them ages to give us one so we just asked Google. Their menu on the website is not updated and some photos in Google Business are more accurate. The heated 'patio' was nice and warm (it is actually built indoors/in a closed environment). The set up is bright and it was bustling with people. Service was slow and it took the staff a while to take our order. We ordered the Causa de Camarones (shrimp and potato) for the starter and the Ceviche de Pescado and Seco de Cordero (lamb) for entrees. I loved everything we ate (even though the lamb was a bit heavy with beans and rice - double carbs). The waitress was friendly. To elevate the service, I suggest that the restaurant train their staff on menu pairing suggestions and dish recommendations. For example, the waitress informed us that the lamb dish would taste pretty cilantro-y (it wasn't so). She could have given a 'disclaimer' or personal thoughts on how heavy our meal could be and suggested a lighter pairing (room for desserts!). A small note: When we left, everyone said thank you (except the waitress who took our order). Overall, it was a good experience and I definitely recommend this place / want to come back when I am back in Portland again!“
