As a Thai, I can confidently say that Thai Yummy Food Cart is a taste of home. The Oo-la-la wings are the best in town; I just couldn't get enough. The Eggplant Mania is also my absolute favorite. Tried out this Thai place on Marquam Hill based on the reviews. It was phenomenal. Best Thai I’ve had to date. The service was quick and super friendly too.We got Pad Thai and salad rolls. Those salad rolls with the peanut sauce are probably my new favorite thing. So fresh and the lettuce was super crisp. I got an extra sauce based on some reviews, but one was generous enough for two rolls.Can’t recommend this place enough. The drive down through Forest Park was lovely too making the entire venture just what I needed.Vegetarian options: Tofu and all vegetables options available.
I had a routine medical procedure that required sedation at OHSU today, and when I woke up I was famished! I was about ready to gnaw off my arm I was so hungry, so my friend suggested her favorite food cart up the street from the hospital. It's Thai... so of course I was in!Maybe it was the after effects of the sedation, or my insatiable hunger, but the Pumpkin Curry with chicken I ordered was remarkable. I have a few places around town where I order that dish (my favorite) but I now need to seriously consider re-ranking my favorites because Thai Yummy is among the best.The spices in the curry were perfectly complemented by the natural sweetness of the pumpkin. It's the impeccable balance of each of the ingredients that makes this dish sing. The tender bits of pumpkin soaked up the flavors of the curry, making every mouthful just delightful! The chicken was delicate and not over cooked, and the sprigs of Thai basil really added a touch of freshness and aromatic appeal. If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of OHSU in Portland, Oregon, Thai Yummy is a culinary gem that shouldn't be missed. If you're a fan of Thai cuisine, the Pumpkin Curry is an absolute must-try.

Hidden gem in SW Portland frequented by the OHSU crowd. The owner might be the kindest person in town. It’s hard to set yourself apart in a city with so many great Thai options, but Thai Yummy remains at the top of my list. The pad Thai and eggplant special with tofu are my personal favorites, but you can’t miss with anything on the menu. Very budget friendly, with generous portions. I truly don’t know how the pull it all off.

When I started working at the hospital on the hill. I kept hearing about the Thai Chart. I finally tried it and they did not disappoint. I had the salad rolls first but honestly the peanut sauce ( I always buy extra) was what really won me over. The Thai tea is the perfect sweetness!! Then enter TOM KAH soup yummmm, when I’m feeling icky or it’s freezing out here in pdx it’s always my go to and it is still delisted warmed up the next day. Jason who owns the cart with his wife is usually at the register and very personable and funny. You have to try it!
