Horrible customer service....if they don't have a table for customers just tell the truth why lie? She kept telling me that the area available will not be enough for 6 people. I told her if it fits 6 people, then its ok but she didn't say anything and walked away then about 5 minutes later she came back and said the same and I told her thats ok.... Then she walk away again and about 10 minutes later she sent an American server out to talk to us. I have a feeling that they don't have a table to accommodate for us and I told them it's ok. The first girl lied and wasted our time.

Crab spring rolls were delicious. The pork skewer was tough, but the beef and mushroom skewers were good. Sautéed morning glory was a bit too salty. Clams were also tasty.

A solid 3.6 Four months open now, it was the WW that had me cancelling Din Tai Feng and coming here instead. Husband and wife team at the helm-- was told by kind server that he is fluent in Vietnamese?!? What----- he must certainly have lived abroad. The space is exquisite-- best looking Viet joint I've ever been in-- the menu stationery and rice paper overlay so gorgeous-- Oblation worthy. The ca phe and the food---- so, so expensive for what you get! And I live in the Bay Area! The food and the cooking and the skulls are solid. But I m not sure they can sustain such a high high price point--- eapxaillyC they ain't in Nob Hill or Alberta--- is on SE Ash , with a paper supply store next door.... The environs cannot warrant the menu's prices. With items even as high as $65, and coffee drinks at $8-10, and pho from $20-24, my eyebrows are raised. But Hanoi style food I did try, and the menu has wonderful detailed explanations of the dishes. So cool Bathroom is outside and shared communally-- #02505! PS the pork belly was PERFECT.

Really wanted to love this place, but it was such a disappointment. Was hoping that I can bring my guests to this place in the future, but now I’d rather pick a different place.Pros:- unique interior design. They try to replicate the authentic street food vibe in Vietnam and it was great to see that.- the green tea with citrus juice is really great. Top notch.- food - the beef pho was ok, hot sauce is great.Cons:- there are two seating areas - the one inside has very bad air circulation. the main dining area still has many empty seats but they put me to the inside, corner area. Didn’t feel welcomed. I left with nasty, greasy odors on my clothes.- ??? * very slow * . I got my drink after being seated for 10 mins, and my food came after 30 mins of the drink. I honestly lost my appetite during the wait.- when it comes to the checkout, I saw that they saw my credit card has been putting on top of the bill but ignored it and walked away (?!) I had to bring it to the counter by myself. ?Hopefully they will improve the service and the air circulation.

The food here is amazing— loved being able to get some northern Vietnamese dishes that are less common at many of the Viet restaurants in PDX. They also use tons of Viet herbs when many other places use only cilantro, or mint. The service was lovely and the decor reminded me of the lovely new restaurants and coffee shops in Hanoi. We will definitely be back!!Vegetarian options: Veg and vegan options on the menu.

Elites in consensus that the service here is terrible. From beginning to end. Menu is so overpriced for street food & street portions. Drinks too expensive. The downfall is trying too hard to be elevated Vietnamese cuisine. Ambience is unique & interesting. They have a section of tiny chairs; for children or for decor, not sure.

I am from the North of Vietnamese and it is hard for me to find a Northern Style Vietnamese food here in US because 90% Vietnamese restaurants here are south and middle styles. Finally I found ittt so happyyy. It tastes like Im home noww. The food here might be bland for you especially the Beef pho because northern style is less seasoning and it does not come with Hoisin sauce or some herbs like basil or bean sprouts like South and Middle Pho. Everything here is totally different flavors and tastes, dont be surprised and ask why it is bland, I told you hehe, it is just how it is. I recommend you try Pho Chien Phong , it is fried crispy fresh pho noodles comes with Stir fried beef and vegetables , so gooddd. The second one is Bun cha, 9/10 bc they grilled the meatball too long , it was a bit hard . Last one is Beef noodles, could be bland for u but it is fresh pho noodles , they make it i guess , it is hard to find fresh pho noodles here. Almost forgot, the fried crispy crab spring-roll, it tastes pretty good for me, it is not the salad roll rice paper that they use for salad roll here , it is a different type of rice paper from the north that we use to make this dish , not sticky and it is much thinner and softer not egg roll wrapper guyss. It is crispyyyy as hell. RecommenddddOverall , the price is pretty expensive and the portion of each dish is not that much for some dish but it is worth ittt.

Dined here for a second time and got the same Bun Phi beef noodle dish and shared the puffed pho noodles with the table. The Po noodles were soooo incredibly flavorful, and the bowl of pho is large, hearty, and has so many fun herbs and sauces to use if you want. One of my favorite dishes in town!

Truly unique dishes and flavors you won’t find elsewhere in town. Cozy-bright-airy ambiance and warm staff. If they dial in their service just a little better, they could be among the top restaurants in Portland. As it stands, a solid option with nobody else in their lane.

This place was so good. If the location was closer to my house, I'd be broke. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu.

The place was clean, the atmosphere was nice and the service was good. It was spendy though, we spent $46 on two dishes. I loved the texture and thickness of the noodles in the pho, but personally, the broth needed more flavor. One thing to note: they don't have sriracha, hoisin, soy sauce, chili oil, or fish sauce available, even if you ask for it. So, if you like mixing your pho with seasonings, you're out of luck. The waitress suggested Bun Cha Hanoi dish, so we ordered it. The flavors were there. I just wish she had warned me that I had to eat it with my hands because I had to wrap everything in lettuce. I was a bit annoyed about that. There was this fat fruit fly we had to keep swatting away, too. ?
