I've only tried the bagels, and not impressed. These are like soft rolls, so assuming they cater to a younger generation that aren't aware of what real bagels texture or taste are. Guess they could be used for a PBJ sandwich.
A fixture at many of the Portland Farmer's markets, they sell many varieties of their bread, which are made with earthy grains which I prefer over white flours. Same with their pastries; many have a mixture of flours and are made with less sugar and butter than most bakery items putting them on the light side of sweet. I love bakeries, and this is a great one! Check my photo of the baked goods... that about sums it up! MMMmmmMM This is fantastic bakery magic, and it has Portland Vibe all over it. I find Gabriel's at the PSU Farmers Market on Saturday morning, they also have a regular store too. Once you've had a Gabriel's scone while walking around the Farmers Market, you, and I do mean you, will never be the same...
